kentjett
1) Houston- Reggie Bush,RB,USCBest player in the draft, if Houston doesn't take him somebody will trade up and take him #1.2) Saints- Matt Leinart,QB,USCSaints will get rid of Brooks and draft Leinart who will play right away.3) Titans- Vince Young,QB,TexasHe will sit and watch Mcnair for one year and work on his mechanics. They could go in another direction here if they resign Volek.4) Jets- D'Brickashaw Ferguson,OT, VirginiaThey lose out on a QB so they draft the best player available.5) Green Bay- A.J. Hawk,LB, OSUThey could trade down and get a RB but this seems like a good fit to me.6) Oakland-Mario Williams,DE,NC State7) San Fransisco- Winston Justice,OT, USC8) Buffalo- Haloti Ngata, DT, Oregon9) Detroit- Jay Cutler-,QB,Vanderbilt10) Arizona- LenDale White,RB,USC11) St. Louis-Tamba Hali,DE.Penn State12) Cleveland- DeMeco Ryans,LB, Alabama13) Baltimore-DeAngelo Williams,RB, Memphis14) Eagles- Santonio Holmes,WR,OSU15) Atlanta- Eric Winston,OT, Miami16) Miami- Marcus McNeil,OT, Auburn17) Minnesota-Laurence Maroney,RB, Minnesota18) Dallas- Michael Huff,S, Texas19) San Diego- Chad Jackson WR, Florida20) Kansas City-Ashton Youboty,CB, OSU21) Patriots-Antonio Cromartie,CB,FSU22) Denver-Sinora Moss,WR, Miami23) Tampa Bay-Mathias Kiwanuka,DE,Boston College24) Cincinnati- Jimmy Williams, DB,Virginia Tech25) Giants- Chad Greenway,LB,Iowa26) Bears- Vernon Davis,TE, Maryland27) Carolina- Leonard Pope,TE, Georgia28) Jaguars- Bobbie Carpenter,LB,OSU29) Denver- Ko Simpson,DB,South Carolina30) Colts- Ernie Sims,LB, FSU31) Seattle- Claude Wroten,DT, LSU32) Steelers-Tye Hill, CB, Clemson*****Players that slipped out of the first are Mercedes Lewis-TE, Darnell Bing-S, Bunkley-DT, Rod Wright-DT, Orien Harris-DT, Thomas Howard-LB, John Scott-OT*****Bengals p/u one of the many available DT's in the second round
Stripes
Nice mock. As has been mentioned in another thread, if Kiwanuka falls that far we could possibly trade up for him. I'd be happy with Williams too.
kentjett
Getting Williams may be wishful thinking but good CB/S have a tendency to fall in the draft. He plays corner now but he will be moved to S in the NFL. He's one of those guys that can hit and play the pass. On the defensive side of the ball, he's the best playmaker in the draft. Tasher
I would be breaking open the case of the good stuff if I hear that announced on the first day/round of the draft! Wooo Hooo!
kentjett
If williams doesn't slip down, I would have to go w/ Ko. He would make the biggest impact right off the bat.
kingwilly
If Williams falls to 24, we'd be fools not to take him.....
TJJackson
I'd have to agree - if Williams and Kiwi were to both drop that far, it'd have to be Williams, but it'd be close, with Williams getting the edge on athleticism and Kiwi on experience. thepudgester
A few too many players falling, Greenway, Simpson, Davis, Hill and Williams falling to 24. EXTREMELY unlikely, I would go as far as to say it is just about impossible.Neither Eric Winston, nor Derek Hagan will go in the 1st. Winston is a 2nd Rounder, Hagan a 3rd. kingwilly
Greenway is not an r1 guy. Tye hill is probable to be available...David/Williams very unlikely....
ArmyBengal
Greenway is not an r1 guy. Really ?? I thought the guy was a beast and has a non-stop motor. I have yet to find a mock where anyone believes he will fall out of the first. I know mocks don't indicate talent, but I just think the guy is pretty d**n good. Just curious to why you feel that way...WHODEY !!!
kingwilly
...oops my mistake....I have Greenway mixed up with Carpenter...doh!Greenway is a r1, top 20 player...I think Carpenter will not be taken in r1...but will go early in r2. kentjett
I did the draft a while ago and I would agree that Winston may slip to the end of the first or beginning of the second. Hagan's stock is slipping but he won't last past the 2nd round. Carpenter has the ability to make his stock rise in the combine, he's a freak athletically. I believe he will be a mid to late first rounder. Greenway will be a first rounder. TE always drop in the draft( Heath Miller, Todd Heap, Jeremy Shockey)Kellen Winslow is the first top ten TE that I've seen in a long time. Greenway, Ko Simpson, Hill , and Williams will go after the first 15 picks . Vernon Davis is the only one I see getting drafted in the first 15 picks but he could drop because he is a TE.Greenway is not an r1 guy. Tye hill is probable to be available...David/Williams very unlikely....Who is David

kentjett
I switched out Hagan and added Moss because of what I have seen at the combine. Hagan is a turd and Moss is looking better and better everyday.
