futurebengal08
Ok...Bengals.com reports that our first pick could possiby be Brodrick Bunkley from Florida State. Attributes: 6'2", 285 pounds. Another option is Mathias Kiwanuka from BC. Attributes: 6'5", 260 pounds. 260 pounds! I don't know about you guys, but I'm pretty tired of all these finesse kids coming to cincy...it's about time we get a big, ugly-a$$ bohemeth on the D-line, a kind of guy can plug up the middle of the line, hold o-linemen, and give our linebackers time enough to utilize their speed to get to the ball-carrier on the run. Also, he'll require a double team in pass situations, giving our DEs a clearer lane to get upfield to the quarterback. Please, Bengals, don't draft another finesse guy. I don't care if you draft Don Vito, just get it done. Agreed?
turningpoint
: matthias kiawenka would be a steal at pick #24, the man is the next version of dwight freeney. He's a player and would be putting robert geathers straight to the Special teams, and locking Polack up as our LB, cause Matthias would be our 3rd down rusher with Smith. He was predicted to be a top 5 pick before the season started, he didn;t have as good of season as he did last year so he dropped, but who cares give me him!BTW broderick bunkley is also in the same mold as Corey SImon was when he was drafted.... Tasher
NOT A NEED!DT or S with the first pick of the draft! If there is not a guy (or girl, for that matter, since this is an equal opportunity site!) in one of these positions whene we draft, trade down for value! Stripes
I agree with you. I want a guy they can name a sandwich after! No thanks, I don't want any Roethisburgers on my team. Seriously, I'd agree that if we are to grab a defensive tackle, he best be big! None of the draft prospects looks all that attractive to me, so I hope our Bengals geniunely pursue a free agent player.
bengalboomer7
I've seen this statemnet everywhere, yet I have seen no mention of drafting Gabe Watson, who is porobably the only player in this draft at DT that fits that mold. I would say Rod Wright, but I think he's just another lazy fat guy (same can be said for Watson, though.More and more I'm starting to think that a good DT is more attitude than skill. I want a big, FAT, mean slobberknocker that can take on a blocker with each arm
NJ29
The depth at DT and safety will allow us to go after a DE or linebacker if there is someone there worth taking.

futurebengal08
Gabe Watson probably won't make it to No.

NJ29
we don't need a fat ass DT who will get pushed back and has no explosionAgreed. Bryan Robingson pushes 300 and he isn't worth a crap on the goal line because he stands straight up and gets pushed back eight yards into the endzone.and we don't need a fat ass DT who will get pushed back and has no explosion we need a good Dt and thats waht bunkly is he may be a little undersized but he is explosive and powerfull plus a good penetrator.ANd if we drafted Mathias our run D would get alot worse since he is bad against the run and weak at the point of attack, now Tamba Hali there is a guy we needRight on with Bunkley. I've watched the guy for 4 years as an FSU fan, and the guy is a machine. Again, Tamba Hali gets to the passer, but he can anchor at the point of attack, a la Justin Smith with an entire arsenal of pass rushing moves.Agreed on all points bengalsLB. Great post.Gabe Watson probably won't make it to No. 24With the deep pool of D tackles, it's possible that Rodrique Wright, Gabe Watson, Brodrick Bunkley Orien Harris, and Jesse Mohalena could all last until 24. I bet that at least 3 of those 5 make it to 24.

Kazkal
It's just hard not to try pimp ngata though sense i'm from oregon, but when you have a huge beefcake like him @ 340 who has speed and more alethism the guys who are much smaller then him it's hard not to love the guy....His only downside is technique(((his first year of football was in college))) which if somehow he did end up in cinci I'd want a new D-line coach right awayWell I want one even if we don't get ngata

I'm saying I don't want to draft a guy just because he is huge. A big ol' 350+ pound ball of obesity. Ngata is a football player, not just a fat ass. I'm fine with taking someone who is huge, but strong, and who gets low on the goal line and takes on blockers.
