redsfan2510
I think we should go te in the 1st round. Ilike Lewis And the kid from Maryland. Is there anybody out there in free agency who we could get at d tackle and safety? If we could get a d lineman or safety in free agency ,it would give us more options in the draft. I have read freeney is a free agent. How sweet would he look in stripes. Another thing we could do is draft a lb like Hawk and put Pollack back at de. One thing else i would like to see is a kickoff kicker who can drive the ball. That way Graham could concentrate on field goals.
ArmyBengal
When I first started following the draft and how things work, I was a little clueless, but have figured out a couple things... Top 5 picks don't fall into the 20's and we can't have a draft full of 1st round talent. That being said, our first day picks (AS MUCH AS I WOULD LOVE IT) will not be:1st Round- AJ Hawk2nd Round- Haloti Ngata3rd Round- Michael HuffOh and we could trade Kitna for another 1st rounder and get Vince Young to backup Palmer...Let's not get to crazy with what ifs... Have all the fun you want, but don't come on here talking possibilities that have zero chance of happening...Redsfan, this is not aimed directly at you, but for all those out there that claim to be draft "gurus" and me not wanting to see the craziness I've seen on here the last couple years...WHODEY !!! redsfan2510
I'm not saying Hawk would fall into the 20's;I'm saying there are things known as trades. Maybe you didn't realize this. We could easily trade up for Hawk or Vernan Davis. Why go safety in the first round. There are plenty of good safeties in free agency. Now that we're a respectable team , players should have no trouble coming to play for the Bengals. WHO DEY
Stripes
Trading up in any draft just doesn't seem like a Marvin type action. I doubt we'll see that happen, especially to grab a top 10 projection like A.J. Hawk, who plays a position that isn't really that great of a need on defense right now. HoosierCat
I don't really see much calll for a trade up this year. At two of the posiitions we are neediest at, safety and tight end, a No. 2 prospect, and perhaps even the No. 1, ought to be still on the board. Those are not positions heavily shopped in the 1st, so a Vernon Davis or Darnell Bing is not out of the question. There are also promising DT and DE prospects who should still be there, including DT Jess Mahelona and DEs Tamba Hali and Elvis Dumervil.I don't see the draft-a-LB, move-Pollack-to-DE scenario as likely but if the Bengals were so inclined they might even see OLB Chad Greenway slip to 24... Now if you would realize I stated this was not directed at you, you could stop being so freakin sensitive. We had all kinds of people claiming things would happen last year that were just outlandish and the attempt was to keep people from doing the same thing again this year, as it gets VERY old, VERY fast. It was a pretty simple post and not meant to irritate anyone. Geesh people, comprehension is a good thing, use it... Oh, if you are a so called draft guru, then yes it was directed at you. If not, chill already...WHODEY !!!
