alleycat
We probably won't get one of the premier (top two) players where we have really strong need at our pick in the first (S, CB, DT, DE, WSLB). While Tight End may be available, I'm just not sure it's worth a first when we have so many holes to fill. The best option, in my opinion, would be to trade down toward the bottom of the first in order to garner another second round pick. That would leave us with three picks in the first two rounds of a very deep draft. Even if our first pick was early second, we could still get a great safety (Bing, Simpson, (even Landry?), a quality corner, and a great WSLB (I still don't see much talent in the second for DT or DE - at least not in terms of opportunity costs). Of course, there will also be GREAT O-Line available (first round talent will fall) as well as some great TE (though if we don't get one of the premier three we should wait for the third round for that. This is a great draft in terms of depthy of Talent, and if there's one thing that's been proven over the years, it's that you get as much star quality and starting guys from the second and third rounds as you do the first. NJ29
If there are a few impact saffeties left, like Ko or Landry, and a couple DTs left, I would be fine with trading down. Picking up a third or fourth round would be great for us, considering what Marvin has been able to do with them thus far.
Stripes
I'd agree that trading down would be the best option if there are no worthy defenders available at our pick. Still, there is a ton of defensive talent projected in the upper rounds this year, I'd expect us to be able to land somebody.
Kazkal
I'd be fine with TE just because it would bring alot to our offense could you picture our redzone offense with mammoth like pope? we did good in the redzone this year but with TE like lewis or pope it would be so much better

ArmyBengal
There will be an impact player when we pick in the 1st, so I have no concerns... Is it April yet ???WHODEY !!!
schweinhart
The best option, in my opinion, would be to trade down toward the bottom of the first in order to garner another second round pick. The question is how far down.In 2004, swapping down 2 spots with the Rams from 24 to 26 got a late 4th in return -- Stacy Andrews. But if a deal comes up like Denver got last year so the Skins could get Jason Campbell -- a 3rd in the same year and the 1st and 4th the following year -- it would be an easy decision. Not sure that any player available by the time the Bengals pick could warrant that kind of deal except for maybe Jay Cutler.
