derekshank Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 Maybe we can coax Jordan Palmer to come out early and keep his big brothers job warm for a couple games... Quote

derekshank Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 what about the def lepperd drummer he will do all he will have to do is HOLD A CLIP BOARD palmer will be back be seasons startcute... but I wouldn't be so sure. He is on a long road of rehab, and it is way too early to make these kind of assumptions. Quote

He had a band in the late 80s called Bonham, and I believe they had a hit that was played on many of the hair band stations. He was also in the movie "Rock Star" with Mark Wahlberg. Quote
andybren Posted January 20, 2006 Report Posted January 20, 2006 Drafting a rookie with plans to make him next year's #2 is a bad idea. For one thing, anybody who could possibly be good enough to start Week #1 would go in the first 2 rounds. Said QB would be too expensive in terms of dollars and draft position to ride the bench for the next 3-4 years. If the Bengals seriously consider starting a rookie (something they didn't even do when they drafted the Heisman Trophy winner 3 years ago) then they might as well stick with Krenzel and roll the dice with the first couple of games.Warner would be ideal, but won't be willing to be a rent-a-veteran. Brooks and Weinke and the next best options. Both have won games as NFL starters. Something that a college kid could never claim. Quote

AMC Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 Drafting a rookie with plans to make him next year's #2 is a bad idea.Agreed.I agree.I doubt highly the Bengals draft a QB...I would see them going the undrafted free agent route for P-squad material, or the FA path though (but only to replace KIT)...Truth be told, I don't think Kitna will get the money he or his agent thinks in FA...teams will go the younger cheaper route....I expect to see Kit in a Bengals uni in 2006... semiotter Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 I like the idea of Tim Couch quite a bit.Yes I think that is the best answer right. Probley pick him up cheap ,and is to good not to be playing. He will try real hard to reboot his chance to get back in football Quote
