bamjoop Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 I have been watching interviews of Bengals players the last couple of days, and they have truly acted like the AFCN champions that they are. Being a Steelers fan, I haven't had a ton of respect for many Bengal players in the past, but they handled themselves as true champions in their loss. Some ignorant fans will heckle CJ crying, but that just shows true desire to win. Rudy Johnson has definetely earned my respect in his post game comments. He was the only one I saw to even mention Henry's injury as also damaging. Hopefully, next year both teams will continue to be strong, and hate each other as much as they do now. It will only make our division better, and make it mean much more to be the champion of the division. I would have truly rather won or lost against your best, not your backup, no matter how good he might be. Quote
Stripes Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 Thanks for a good post. We certainly all look foward to a great rivalry to come. Quote
joshh967 Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 yea seriously, thanks for the post and being a true fan of the game. the rivalry should be even better next year Quote
Spain Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 This cheap shotting team. Dude they are lower than Denver. The players can say their lines about it being bad luck. Yada Yada. I bet the players of the bengals are going to take Ben out next year. Its the only thing we can do till the NFL does something about teams like the Steelers and Denver. If this guy was a real football fan he would realize that his team is a bunch of freaking a**h***s. I would personally like to welcome any Steeler fan next year to come to Cincy next year. I dont think youl find this City so friendly next year. Quote

kingwilly Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 I agree...Spain, time to move on. Palmer had his surgery already...Pitt is going to Indy this weekend and will get shredded...let the venom go, put down the sangria, relax your grip on the mouse. Quote
Spain Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 Just cant do it yet, sorry. This might be a while. Quote

Besides when it comes to making comments, TJ did not exactly show much respect to the Broncos when he said that the NFL wants Indy/NE in the Championship Game (well, they are not the only ones since I have tickets for the AFC Championship Game in INDY and would much rather see NE over Denver who has gotten rolled off the last two years by the Colts in the playoffs) Quote
BengalByTheBay Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 Thanks for what I perceive to be a positive comment, Joop. As for Spain, consider the fact that he actually lives in Spain (if anything he says can be believed) and, as such, a threat of bodily harm -- over the internet -- from somebody who likely lives in another country -- is hardly very impressive. Every day it will get better Spainey old boy. Quote
bamjoop Posted January 12, 2006 Author Report Posted January 12, 2006 Yeah, I meant it as a compliment as a fan of good football. I understand Spains anger, I still would kick the crap out of Neil O'Donnell if I ever met him on the street. Quote
