Whur CHad At? Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 Thanks for the pic. NightRat!I think the NFL needs to review this and Kimo should be fined or suspended for this. He could of ended his career, and that should just not be acceptable. Quote
oldschooler Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 Ball is gone...Kimo twist it more after that pic was taken even...Should have at least drawn a flag...The other question is whether or not he saw the ball leave Carson's hand. Hard to tell from a picture.Yeah but with the way the NFL protects QB`s...I just can`t see that not drawing a flag.Everytime a Bengals player has hit another QB`s knees, there was a flag...Oh well. That`s what I was screaming when it happened.I just hope he recovers and comes back better than ever.Sucks ass that Palmer`s first two season`s that he hasbeen the starter ...both his final games he ended his seasonwith an injury to the same knee. kentjett Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 That is bulls**t, he is trying to hurt Carson. I didn't think the hit was that bad until I took a look at that picture. Once you have somebodies leg hooked like that, your instincts make you let up a little bit unless you are purposely trying to hurt someone. I'm really ticked off after seeing that, great photo. Quote
TIMEsteelersfan Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 I've never seen Kimo cheap shot anybody in his entire career... no reason to think he started today. I think he was falling to the ground and just happaned to hit Palmer in the leg on his way down trying to get the sack. His arm around his leg had nothing to do with the injury... the injury came with the contact. Quote
Whur CHad At? Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 The NFL better review it...that was terrible Quote

That's football... it just happened to be at a bad angle on the knee. Quote

But that doesn't take away from the fact that we have no idea how that game might have gone had we not lost an All-Pro quarterback who garnered a few MVP votes two plays into the game. Tainted it is. No matter how you slice it. Quote

Kimo was going down as he reached for Carson, just trying to make a play. Watch the replay after the hit, Kimo is just standing there looking at Carson and does this "oh f**k" move and is just standing there looking back and forth and the Palmer and the sideline. This was just one of those freak things. Quote
Whur CHad At? Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 HE was prob. telling Bill that he got him, and that he would be gone for a long time. Quote
smith288 Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 Not a cheap shot IMHO. Just an unfortunate occurance in a violent game. I just think God hates the Bengals.... Quote
andybren Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 His arm around his leg had nothing to do with the injury... the injury came with the contact. It's about intent. Just ask Marcus Vick.I don't think Kimo is a dirty player, but the play is suspect. He was going down, didn't have a legitimate shot at stopping the play, but still reached for the leg and tried to twist him to the ground.I don't know if he deserves to be fined, but he's definitely responsible. Much more than Odell was when he was tripped by the lineman. Quote
Grendel Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 Marcus Vick.....what was that all about anyway? Did he ever say why? Quote
jjakq27 Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 I may be hated after saying this but, I feel Kitna was not THE reason for losing this game. To me it looked like most of them gave up after the field goal attempt. Anyone else think that looked like a blatant hit to Palmers leg? I thought so too, blocked into him my ass. That was a blatant hit getting back at us for Odell "going low" on Ben in game two this year. Except this seriously hurt Carson and possibly puthis career in jeopardy.*Post edited by Skyline* My seats are near the visitors tunnel in the endzone. On the way into the locker room people were yelling at Kimotherapy and he stopped, smiled, flexed his biceps and laughed. He knew what he did and was proud of it. On the way out after the half, people were giving it him to him and he smiled and stuck out his tongue. Again no remorse or embarassement for what happened.Believe what you will but that guy went after him will all intentions of hitting Palmer in the legs. Quote
not-another Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 WHAT THE f**k WAS THAT HIT ABOUT? HE GRABBED HIS LEG AND TWISTED. THAT IS A DAMN ASS f**king s**tTY BASTARD p***y MOTHER f**ker ASS CHEAP SHOT. THE STEELERS ARE THE MOST MOTHER f**king DIRTY TEAM IN THE LEAGUE RIGHT NOW. IT USED TO BE THE DAMN MOTHER f**king RAIDERS, NOW THESE ASS CLOWNS TOOK THE TITLE.I CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH THEM LOSE TO INDY. THEM DIRTY ASS MOTHER f**kers. PEYTON BETTER WATCH HIS LEGS, BECAUSE THEM DIRTY MOTHER f**king SUCKERS WILL BE TRYING TO TWIST HIS ANKLES BACKWARDS....excuse me there. I was a little angry. Quote
jjakq27 Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 Ball is gone...Kimo twist it more after that pic was taken even...Should have at least drawn a flag... If they throw a flag on a "late" hit on the sideline, they have to throw a flag on that play. THe bad part was that they didn't score on that play. It would have made a big difference in the game. Also I wonder if Henry hurt himself on that play and that is why he didn't score. He came off the field and was stretching his leg and was limping when he came back onto the field. Did they ever say how he got hurt? Quote
Grendel Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 Wow....almost the exact same words I spoke when that play happened. Quote

Lawrence Taylor never did anything like that and he was coked out of his head. It'd be nice to hear some kind of response from Cowher or the Steelers front office, but I won't hold my breath. Quote
palmermvp Posted January 9, 2006 Author Report Posted January 9, 2006 Man, This sucks. This went from a great day for bengal fans to a complete disaster. I feel like crying. Quote

andybren Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 Let's not all jump out of the window. We can't even confirm if it's 1 or 2 ligaments yet. Quote
