palmermvp Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Wow,What the hell do I watch this team for? Finally find the franchise QB and now he is done for who knows how long. QB's with this kind of knee problems don't stand a chance, Greg Cook and now Palmer. Win or lose this game really dont matter, the bengals have no chance at winning now. We should have known it was to good to be true to have everything going so great. I feel sorry for myself and all other bengal fans becuase its just to hard to deak with all the terrible things that have happened and continue to happen to us. Quote
Michigan Bengal Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Stop with this negative crap. Worst case scenario, Palmer will be back next season. We still have a chance to win this game and go all the way! Quote
HoosierCat Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 The Cook example really isn't a good one. If surgical techniques had been where they are now 30 years ago, Cook would have been fine. As for Carson, he'd hardly be the only player to come back from a torn ACL. Quote
eclipse99t Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 Wow, Kitna looks like a joke out there now, though...sacked 3 times in the 3rd quarter. Quote

As for Carson, he'd hardly be the only player to come back from a torn ACL.First Cook then Carson?...we should only be so lucky to have a QB injury every 36 years or so. Dan Marino passed for another 20,000 yards after rupturing an achilles tendon and missed a year...Carson will be fine!! Quote

DontPushMe Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 its now a torn acl AND mclwe cant catch a f**king break Quote
cincy9275 Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 palmer tore his acl how long will it take to come back from it . will he be ready next year . being he is a qb he can come back from it sooner than say a wideout or rb. Quote
skyline Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 He should be ready for next season. Quote
UK Bengal Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 for your information guysACLhttp://www.emedx.com/emedx/diagnosis_infor...ear_outline.htmMCLhttp://orthopedics.about.com/cs/kneeinjuries/a/mclinjury.htmNFL.com reports its an ACL tear the better of the 2 serious ones so we can be thankful for that.get well soon carson Quote
Kirkendall Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 Maybe good news, maybe not. But Marvin did comment that it "looks" like it's an ACL tear. As said in another post, the MRIs are supposedly still happening. Quote
Grendel Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 I may be hated after saying this but, I feel Kitna was not THE reason for losing this game. To me it looked like most of them gave up after the field goal attempt. Anyone else think that looked like a blatant hit to Palmers leg? Quote
oldschooler Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 In front of the first Paul Brown Stadium crowd ever to see a playoff game, the 20th straight sellout crowd of 65,870 erupted in a din screaming with joy and rage as the Bengals still broke to a 17-7 lead behind backup Jon Kitna’s swashbuckling relief performance. But as Palmer faces ACL surgery on his left knee, it began to fall apart early in the second half when the Bengals muffed a field-goal snap, and Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger burned the Bengals defense on a 40-yard pass interference call to set up one touchdown and then threw a 43-yard pass for another one to wide open Cedrick Wilson off a flea flicker from wide receiver Antwaan Randle El that suddenly put the Bengals down, 28-17, just seven minutes after the blown field goal. He has torn the anterior cruciate ligamant in his left knee, is out for the rest of the post season and the Bengals hope he'll be ready for the start of training camp. http://www.bengals.com/news/news.asp?story_id=5002 Quote

Even if it was questionable, I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt for now. Quote

That was a blatant hit getting back at us for Odell "going low" on Ben in game two this year. Except this seriously hurt Carson and possibly puthis career in jeopardy.*Post edited by Skyline* Quote
Whur CHad At? Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 I think it was a blatant hit. Carson will recover though for a strong season Next year. He is a tough kid. Quote
oldschooler Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 My girlfriend is a casual football fan.And she was like "WTF is that guy doing ?""That was dirty as hell !"Then when it was over she said ..."Well they shouldthank whoever took Carson Palmer out."I think it was avoidable...dirty ...I don`t know.It should have drawn a penalty flag though... Quote
cincy9275 Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 kemo is not a bad guy i don't think he meant to hurt Palmer . but he should have never dived at his knee . it could have been avoided they showed the replay 100 times . he was not blocked in to Palmer knee he dove at Palmer hitting his knee. being that it could have been avoided it was a cheap shot and kemo knew it you could tell bye his reaction that he did something he knows he should not have done . and thats it Quote
NJ29 Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 Honestly, I think that it was a clean, accidental hit. Quote
Grendel Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 Here is a picture of the hit from bengals.com. See the arm around Palmers leg? This is why it is at least a "questionable" hit.] Quote
oldschooler Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 Ball is gone...Kimo twist it more after that pic was taken even...Should have at least drawn a flag... Quote
skyline Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 Ball is gone...Kimo twist it more after that pic was taken even...Should have at least drawn a flag...The other question is whether or not he saw the ball leave Carson's hand. Hard to tell from a picture. Quote
