bengalboomer7
I think it'll be a great game, butHOW can ESPN run their piece comparing 05 USC to the top 11 college teams of all time? I'm picking Texas on that alone!38-
jungleman
usc is now playing for its 1st undisputed national title. ShulaSteakhouse
Wow what a drive by Texas - they look determined 9-7, got away with one on the lateral.
Stripes
Dang, 16-7... Go Longhorns. USC has been in this position before though.

ShulaSteakhouse
Ugh, another late night, great finish, Young dominated that game. Too bad he probably won't be able to run around like that in the NFL (or he'll get hurt every week like Vick). Great college QB though, one of the best ever. Wouldn't be denied tonight. PMThor
Sooo glad Texas won that game. I was so sick and tired hearing ESPN pimping USC as the greatest team ever. It got sickening. So glad to see USC lose it and Texas wins it. Now how does ESPN spin it so that they don't look like complete idiots?

AND, it lived up to all the hype and more.

The Texas broadcast was probably less biased for Texas than ESPN was for USC. People here are still going crazy, BTW.
WhoDey42
You couldn't ask for a better National Championship game than that. I think it was better than the OSU-Miami game. I lost a lot of respect for Leinart for his comments after the game. He showed that he is not a gracious loser. He gave absoluetly no credit to Texas. He kept saying "We lost by a couple inches." Well, no you didn't. Yeah, you gave them back the ball when you couldn't convert on 4th and 2, but your defense still could have stepped up and stopped them, but they didn't. He also said somethin like "We're still the best team in the country, but we just didn't get it done today." Dude, give some credit where credit is due. rizzy
i like how leinart right after the game and the on field interview he said "it was good win" then had to try to recover from the statementwhat a moron he is a little too cocky for me, vince young will be drafter before him now and will be a much better qb in the nfl than him
Stripes
Young made Leinart look like Boller in this game, and it was amusing to watch. Leinart got very jumpy in the pocket when his perfect USC offensive line had to face a real defense. Imagine that problem behind the line of say the Saints or Titans... bengalboomer7
First of all, Texas just wins the title and ABC starts interviewing Carrol, Leinart and USC. I have never seen that before. usually you get a little snippet from the coach outside the locker room, but NOOOO, we gotta know what USC thinks about losing first.Seriously, when I saw that ESPN piece a month ago, I called it then for Texaskarma, babyAnd this game was great, but not quite OSU/UM. Two overtimes, man
