jungleman
kevin walters and tab perry used as a running back to run some outside sweeps as well as screen passes. we saw yesterday walters convert on a pass out of the backfield that created him vs a linebacker matchup which i take all day long. also tab had a td on a sweep play. we need to come up with ways to utilize these plays with the absense of chris perry. NJ29
I'm not sure if Walter is strong enough to play any running back... But I'm completely up for using Tab.
jungleman
im not advocating alot of use for walters more of slipping him in there and catching someone offguard. we do that and hit a screen to him we have gained a big play but you also cant only run screens so you put a sweep outside as well as a reverse to keep a team honest. we could use both guys in the roles and let one earn a spot with more action. CantStop85
Tab is great in situational plays...but he couldn't carry it more than 2 or 3 times and have much success.
Stripes
I don't think the idea would be to use either of them as actual running backs that will try and carry the ball. Still, I doubt they'd have as much success with the suprise factor taken away.
NJ29
I'd like to see us use him in a Devin Hester-ish role. He can reeturn kicks, play some receiver in the slot, and get him 2 or 3 snaps a game at tailback on sweeps.
HairOnFire
Chris Perry was little more than a WR lined up in the backfield so the changes shouldn't be impacted much by the surprise factor. In fact, since Perry was dinged we've seen steady doses of WR's lining up in the backfield as well as TE's Matt Schobel and Reggie Kelly. NJ29
Is it just me, or is Tab bigger than Chris?
