HoosierCat Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 Interesting note from the coldhardfootballfacts.com guys here:http://www.coldhardfootballfacts.com/Artic...=612&Category=1Scroll down to the last chart. After throughly washing Brady's nutsak for most of the piece they add that Carson is No. 2 in spreading the TD wealth, hitting 10 different receivers for scores. '88 playoff team was the same way. They had so many weapons it was impossible to cover everyone. Quote
Tasher Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 So we just need Rudi or Stew to get into the endzone with a TD reception this weekend or next... Quote
Stripes Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 I believe it was during the second Pittsburgh game when we had Levi Jones lined up to catch a pass in the endzone (or so goes the rumor) but the touchdown instead went to Reggie Kelley. I'd have thought we'd be number one in this category, but 2nd place ain't bad at all. Not only have we spread the wealth to a lot of different players, but some unexpected guys have been racking up the points. Who'd have thought coming into the season that going into week 15, Chris Henry would have five touchdown catches and Jeremi Johnson three? Throw in some random scores to the Perrys, the tight ends, and even Kevin Walter, and there you have it. Quote
scott91575 Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 Once you get past 7 or 8 it just means your team jumbles the lineup more. Hmmm, let's see. If a team has 4 WR's, 2 TE's, and 2 RB's to throw to you have pretty much him them all at 8. Any more than that and it just means a few guys got in for injury reasons or on gimic plays. Quote
