So just for kicks during lunch today I thought would take a look back at the NFL head coaching class of 2003, and see how Marvin stacked up against his peers who also took the reins that season.

Go to the head of the class, Mr. Lewis.

1. Marvin Lewis, Bengals: 27-19

2 (t). Bill Parcells, Cowboys: 24-22

2 (t). Jack Del Rio, Jaguars: 24-22

4. Steve Mariucci, Lions: 15-28 (fired last month)

5. Dennis Erickson, 49ers: 9-23 (fired after 2 seasons)

I wouldn't be suprised if he gets an extension. He gets one every year.

Not only does he have the best win-loss record, but he did it with the worst team, and in the worst atmosphere for success. If he doesn't emerge soon with a Coach of the Year award, then it will be a crime.
