LesterLyles Posted December 19, 2005 Report Posted December 19, 2005 Don't know if you rmeber me. I am the resident Jets fans who for obvious reasons, haven't had much to root for or pay attention to this year. I just wanted to stop by and say congrats on a GREAT accomplishment. You guys should all be proud of Marvin and the team. bengals are playing very well and IMO could make a run to the Bowl. Anything can happen. if it was Belli and the Pats at 13-1, i would say the Bengals shot is very slim. But its Tony "I'm a good coach who folds in the Playoffs" Dungy and Payton "I choke in the big game" Manning. Anything can happen guys. Good luck the rest of the way. Quote
NYBengalfan Posted December 19, 2005 Report Posted December 19, 2005 Its too bad that they are doing bad. I got season tix for the Jets, I was hoping to make money off them this year. But that plan failed Quote
AMC Posted December 19, 2005 Report Posted December 19, 2005 Thanks for the compliments...Keep the faith on the Jets Lester....Curtis Martin is an awesome class act.... Quote

NYBengalfan Posted December 19, 2005 Report Posted December 19, 2005 If it wasnt for NFL Sunday Ticket id probly be a Jets fan. To everyone who stuck with this team trough the worst of times. Quote

AMC Posted December 19, 2005 Report Posted December 19, 2005 It was all worth it!just like Big Willie said, the tough times have added character...did you catch Willie's comment...."even a garbage can gets a steak every now and then"??? Quote
HoosierCat Posted December 19, 2005 Report Posted December 19, 2005 Thanks, Lester. Bollinger looked like he has some promise yesterday. Keep the faith! Quote
NYBengalfan Posted December 19, 2005 Report Posted December 19, 2005 Hey Lester, if the Jets dont get a qb in the draft, they could go for mcNair who played his last game in Tennessee, or Harrington, he has talent, he just needs some solid coaches that will support him. Quote
LesterLyles Posted December 19, 2005 Author Report Posted December 19, 2005 Thanks for the kind words. Jets core talent is still ok, they just need to improve a few positions i.e. RB and OL. QB is the realquestion mark. I think Bollinger proved he can be a solid #2 in the league. But what willthe Jets do for #1. Do you give up on Penny? IMO its too early. If I'm the Jets, I spend teh offseason suring every other position except QB. You give Penny one more shot. If he still can't get that shoulder healed, you adress a long-term solution for '07. Quote

Stripes Posted December 19, 2005 Report Posted December 19, 2005 I agree, let Pennington have another chance. Injuries are usually flukes, and I can't imagine him struggling with them forever. Quote
BengalByTheBay Posted December 19, 2005 Report Posted December 19, 2005 Hey Les -- thanks for the kind words. Unbelievably tough year for the jets. You have sympathy from those who know. Adopt us for the playoff run, my friend! Quote
