Spain Posted December 14, 2005 Author Report Posted December 14, 2005 Yeah Rudi aint got the best hands and JJ is too fat to run IMHO. This would have been a nice time to have Perry. I hope he is back in it soon. We should probably rest hin this week. Quote
membengal Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 Spain, JJ is down to 245 pounds. He is NOT too fat to run. That is just 10 pounds more than Rudi, and puts him at less weight than Duce Staley or Jerome Bettis, for instance.Try and keep up, please. Quote
Spain Posted December 14, 2005 Author Report Posted December 14, 2005 He isnt the Bus sorry, You want the boy to run he needs to be at 235! IMHO. Quote
Stripes Posted December 15, 2005 Report Posted December 15, 2005 This thread (aside from those who would know they are not included in this statement) is filled with some of the most pompous, arrogant, message board control freaks I've ever seen.I agree, comparing Jeremi Johnson to Bettis or the likes based only on his weight is far more illogical than stating that he is not fit to carry the ball. membengal Posted December 15, 2005 Report Posted December 15, 2005 I am not comparing him to Bettis in terms of ability. I am simply noting that Spain's usual off-the-cuff and ill-reasoned observation of Johnson is two years out of date. Spain's assertion was that JJ is "too fat to run". That is simply bulls**t. I have seen fat at running back in the NFL, and it runs just fine. Just ask the Bears last week, last seen letting "fat" run over them in the second half. Fact is, like almost everyone else who is a back-up on the Bengals, we simply don't know what Johnson can do if given a chance. And, for some on this board, that means they must suck. A lot of other people are content to let them have their chance without pre-judging them. My vote is for letting them have a chance to prove themselves before making stupid-as-s**t blanket generalizations. Quote
AMC Posted December 15, 2005 Report Posted December 15, 2005 The dropping 7-8 back in coverage was also what teams did to the Colts at the beginning of the year. Remember when Peyton was "struggling" and Edge was racking up yards while the Colts continued to win...Same applies to the Bengals maybe...good teams can beat you different ways, like last sunday vs. the Browns...
