yeah well we can rework contracts at anytime. and knowing the bengals brass they will put off redo already signed players, if interupts their ability to make the team better right now. well IMo that's the sort of bs Marvin Lewis will feed us if this ever becomes an issue.

I don't think we'd be able to get Abraham without highly overpaying him. I think we'll be able to find a solid option elsewhere, and I am not overly concered with our situation at defensive end anyways.

Abraham seems to be hurt too much and seems to be a bad attitude guy when he doesn't get what he wants...

if he's not franchised some will definitely overpay for him and it won't be the Bengals...

you can keep Hovan and Archuleta too...

They will work hard to resign their own (OL), restructuring 2006 contracts in the process for even more cap room possibly...

No, getting into a bidding war over a free agent isn't the way to go. Drafting well as we have been is. Give Fanene more time.

We have the players with the abilities...just have to finetune them ie

Fanene, Askew, Pollack, Shaun Smith, Caleb Miller, Body, Guycheck, Kieft, Andrews, Wilkerson....

We had to this fine young collection in the draft again....it seems to be working ...

I completely agree with TNBT.

Fanane is going to be a stud. He was drafted because of his quickness off the ball on the edge, but has anyone noticed the guy's size? 6-4, 300 lbs (currently - he's put on some pounds).

Coupled with Thornton's curious comments about Askew taking his place, and I actually think we might be better off than we think at DT next year. If we're going to shop free agency, I'd rather see us go for a DE and keep building through the draft.

Im not too concerned with the DE position.. Pollack will be a very good player and remember that Geathers is the Youngest bengal...He has allot of talent too...

Come on, does anyone truely think the bengals would go out and sign someone like Abraham? Be realistic. Its not happening.

But why are we talking about the offseason, our season isnt over right now like it usually is, enjoy it.

Get your head out of your sphinter. We are not the cheapest team in the NFL. We have the same salary being paid as anyone else, always have, despite the knock that we don't pay.

The fact is, we don't OVERPAY.
