Brian Simmons has his finger on the pulse of Bengaldom. This is one smart man! With a little doubt towards the bandwagoners.

“We’ve had good fans through it all. Even when we weren’t winning this late in the year, we had good crowds,” Simmons said. “They’ve been patient. No matter how disappointed and frustrated they felt, imagine coming to work every day and working at it and investing everything. . . For the fans that have been in the stadium win, lose, or draw, I’m happy for those fans. For the fans who became fans this year, we’ll see.”

I had a good discussion with a friend the other day who is a Red Sox fan and we were comparing his 86

years without a title to our 15 years of futility. Of course, he said there was no comparision, but I basically

said that over those years they've had good teams, have made the palyoffs, and have been to several

World Series. Then I told him to think about the worst Red Sox team he ever saw, and imagine watching

that team for fifteen straight years. He didn't have much to say after that :P

Our fans deserve a ton of props. Attendance never dropped that much with constant years of losing and almost no hope. That's why when Willis was asking for brown paper bags I told him to call me back in about 12 years

I think the Bengals' 15 years of futility are definitely worse than the Red Sox 86 years. There is more parity in the NFL, and the Red Sox have no one to blame but themselves because they have the second highest payroll in MLB. Plus, I don't care about the Red Sox. :P
