I was trying to think of a screen name for a video game about 5 or 6 years ago and this one popped in my head. I got used to it and started using it as an internet pen name type deal. People kept asking me if I was a Dark Tower fan because of the name so I finally decided to start reading King's stuff. So far I have only read Gunslinger out of the DT series. "Desperation" and "Everything's Eventual" are my favorites of King's stuff so far.

I'm reading the Talisman right now (on page 200) and I'm going to read the Black House next. I have Salem's Lot and I will probably get to it sometime early next year. Have you heard about the DT comic book series yet? Marvel Comics and Stephen King are teaming up to make a comic series about Roland's younger years. It was supposed to be released in March of 06 but they pushed it back to 07 because King wants to make it perfect. He also has a new book coming out in January called "Cell". I think its supposed to be about cell phones destroying parts of people's brains and turning them into zombies. Its supposed to be extremely violent. The_Next_Big_Thing
I wouldn't mind giving Teyo Johnson a look at TE. He started off with a lot of potential and never met it in Oakland, and bombed when he went to Arizona. However, I don't think it's fair to grade him on how effective he was in Arizona. That would be like blaming Roy Williams for sucking in Detroit! I'd like to see about getting Langston Moore back in strikes too at DT. He's at least as god as our guys at DT.At safety, it might be interesting to look at Keion Carpenter and Will Demps.

schweinhart
Chris Hope UFA SteelersGet this guy on the phone as the clock strikes midnight on March 1. Imagine a defensive backfield of Hope, Madieu, Deltha, Tory and Keiwan. I hear you. Hope would solve the safety problem.I was suprised no team bid for him last year as an RFA. The Steelers got him for the minimum tender and he would have likely been for the taking by another team for just a little more than that and the 3rd round draft pick comp for Hope (the round he was drafted in). What kind of money will Hope want? I say there's next to no chance that he he'll get any significant amount more than what Deon Grant got last year to sign with Jags. Best I can tell that's a $7.2-million, 3-year deal with a $2.5 mill signing bonus and salaries at $750 k in 2004, $1.45 mill in 2005, and $2.35 mill in 2006.If that's what Hope wants and the bidding don't go haywire high, I agree -- sign him. Stripes
I think Tank Williams has been in the doughouse a bit amongst Tennessee fans. Either of the two would be a great pickup. Still, I doubt we will get more than one big free agent signing, that is the Marvin way. If this is the case, then go for the defensive line and save safety for the draft. BlainThePain
Here's a couple of no-name guys that I like.Rocky Bernard/DT/Seattle- 6'3" 293 lbs. A backup defensive tackle with a handful of starts this season and he has 49 tackles and 8.5 sacks.Marlon McCree/S/Carolina- 5'11" 202 lbs. Beat out Thomas Davis for the starting SS role and has 87 tackles, 3 INTs, and 6 pass deflections.Aaron Kampman/DE/Green Bay- 6'4" 278 lbs. He has 78 tackles and 6.5 sacks. What I really like about him is it looks like he is on the verge of really breaking out. At the very least, he is an extremely solid defense end that plays the run well. Has improved his sack totals every year in the league. 2002-0.5 sacks 2003-2 sacks 2004-4.5 sacks 2005-6.5 sacks.
