detriotboundbengals
I know were all high on the playoff koolaid, as am I, but I still have the Browns knocking us out of the playoffs in 2003 in the back of my mind. They came in to PBS, we were favored, and they wiped us all over the field, and knocked us out. Now this year, theres a different scenario, if we were to get beat by the Browns, we would still probably get in the playoffs, but lets hope we don't let them get us again while were not expecting it.This is a statement game. We win this game, we are assured the division. We must not look over the Browns and stay focused through the rest of the season. The playoffs are unfamiliar to us, but we must not let our excitement look over people.Go Bengals.Who-Dey
Stripes
One team I don't think the Bengals will ever look over no matter what record they hold is the Cleveland Browns. This is THE rivalry of the year, every year. The players want to win the Battle of Ohio just as badly as the fans do. When they lost in 2003, it was because they weren't ready for that big of a game, I thinkthey'd have lost it to any team they'd have been facing. The Browns will probably play us tough, but the talent is so lopsided in our favor (and Charlie Frye will be there ready to throw some interceptions) that I don't expect this to be close. NYBengalfan
Im high on something else as well.....LOL but I dont think that we will overlook anyone, Marvin won't allow it, and we have beat everyone that we were supposed to so I dont expect anything different

HairOnFire
I doubt the Bengals will stumble against the Browns. There is still way too much to play for and the Bengal players seem to know it. Besides talking about locking up the North you're starting to hear Lewis and some players openly acknowledge that they're targeting securing a home playoff game and a possible playoff bye. They'll be focused.
OrangeStripes
Yeah.. I see were your coming from and were better than we were in 2003 and this year we know how important this game, or any other game in that case, will be. There will be turnovers ooo yes turnovers and i think we'll win that and try to keep in control of ball possession. If we do that we will win.Score-Bengals: 28 Browns:
derekshank
Once again... fans are allowed to look past teams. It has no effect on the players. Marvin will keep this team focused, so set your worries aside... if we want to talk playoffs, because the next 3 games look easy, let us.The good news is that with the teams left, there are very few teams to look ahead to. KC at the end of the season is the only one the Bengals should be tempted to keep an eye on... and being 4 weeks away, I'm sure the Bengals will be focused on the Browns. Sox
Some will call this a rivalry game.At one time, yes. But right now,a bug and a windshield isn't a rivalry.
ShulaSteakhouse
Good opportunity at home to polish up some things on both sides of the ball and continue to get better heading into the post season.I just do not see this Bengals' team letting up, looking past, or taking anyone too lightly at this point. If i'm not mistaken, this team has a legitimate chance to have the best season record in franchise history?? That's amazing to think about - but realize that may be inaccurate.Remember what this offense did to the Ravens two weeks ago in another similar "trap" game.Chad didn't get his yards or TD's last week - Baxter is out - watch out Browns, it may be cold and snowy out, but balls will be flying.
