Jet23
Do you see ML reeling in Chad a bit? I love Chad, but I hate to see him putting so much pressure on himself to score a TD. Let's face it, that is not something he can control. He should know by now that his value is the fact that he takes heat away from TJ & Henry. Everyone now knows that you nobody can cover him one-on-one. Not Champ, not Smoot, not Law and certainly not Pacman. Chad handled himself great after the game and he was all about team. Marvin may want to prevent a future problem though. I love his celebrations, but I would rather he just did them, rather than talk about them before they happen. bengalboomer7
Personally, i am for it because I think Chad uses this to gear himself up for the game. Everytime they show a mid week clip of his antics he has this glow in his eyes like an excited kid. So, if this helps Chad play I'm all for it. jjakq27
Don't worry about Chad. Just when you think it might be catching up to him, he does something miraculous. Also if the production seems down, it is hard to get open when you have a linebacker, a safety and a cornerback covering you on the same play. That's why TJ and Henry are so valuable because they make plays too.
kingwilly
The build-up hype really paints him in a corner when it comes to TD's and celebrations. In fact, it almost seems like if he does not score, then he could mark a "YES" next to Ike Taylor if the stats are not real big. For the most part, he ended up contained. When he tweaked his leg and came out, it seemd like it took the wind out of his sails a bit.
bengalboomer7
See, I think it's games like yesterday that show just how valuable Chad is, even when he's not making plays with the ball. The Steelers schemed to his side of the field all DAY!! And carson and our other tough recievers made them pay. I honestly think the really solid play of TJ, Henry, and others will relax Chad's doubles and he'll take off at the end of the season. We have already heard from Stiller fans slamming Chad for running his mouth and not coming through. Anyone with a clue (which excludes most Steeler fans) knows that they designed their defense to take him away, which opened things up for TJ. Result....cats win.Not a big deal, but I can see Marvin talking to him.
Stripes
I have been slightly worried about this as well, but that was all erased when I saw Chad's postgame interviews. He handled it all like a true team player. Good times.
membengal
If all the "build-up hype" means that teams continue to double and triple team him at the expense of leaving TJ and Henry to run wide open around the field, I am all for it. There are ways you help your team beyond catching balls when you are in Chad's position, you also help your team by drawing attention allowing others to run free.
