Stripes
I expect the Buckeyes to win this one. The fans will travel to Tempe in droves, just as they have 2 of the last 3 seasons. Both teams have dynamic offenses with a lot of weapons (more-so for Notre dame). I think the difference will lie in the Buckeye defense and special teams. bengalboomer7
Epic battle. The Bucks should win this one, but ND has a great coach and his team will be ready
bengalindian
I have a buddy that goes to ND, and we were talking about the game. I mentioned, foolishly, that OSU would win because Tressel is the man when it comes to big games (ala Michigan and bowl games), and he turned around and said "Three Super Bowl Rings." He got me there. This is going to be one great game, and I haven't seen ND play enough to know a whole lot about them, but right now, the Bucks are on fire, and there defense could stop the Irish...I'm pretty sure of that.O-H. ahanes
The Irish defense sucks and will be the difference in this game. OSU offense will move the ball at will but due to Tressel's conservative-ass playcalling, they won't blow 'em out. ND offense vs. OSU defense is almost a wash. I'll say...OSU 31ND 20*
rizzy
Something I just saw on TV the other night. AJ Hawk is dating Brady Quinns sister. That is going to be one awkward christmas. AJ to Brady's Family: Uh, Merry Christmas, but yeah I still have to take Brady's head off in the game. I don't know if he will come out alive, but Merry Christmas. bengalindian
Good stuff. I hope AJ gives Brady a little preview for Christmas. That way when Brady sees AJ coming, he'll just crumple to the ground like the little girl that he is.
WHO DEY AGAIN?
Charlie will pick apart the Bucks defense and ND will focus on making Smith beat them with his arm. It will be close but the Irish will take care of the Bucks. ND 24 OSU 17bengalindian,You would switch QB's in a second if given the chance. Stripes
I doubt Chuckie boy will "pick apart" our defense. Sure, I could see his offense moving the ball better than other teams have, but it'd have to come through the air. I don't think Darius Walker will be able to make much happen against the Buckeye linebackers, regardless of Charlie's playcalling. The Notre Dame defense is simply bad, so I don't think they'd have great success making Troy Smith one dimensional. He has succeeded against better defenses in running with the ball this year. If the Buckeye offense doesn't hurt itself with dropped passes or penalties, then I expect them to carve up the Irish defense rather easily. If I had to predict a score, I'd say...Ohio State 31Notre Dame
AGrizzlyBaer
ah well my choice is easy i hate n.d. and during the bowls i root for my big ten brethren. notre dame hasnt beaten anyone this year this year and lost to a sub par msu team, and they did play usc toe to toe but lost it in the end. and on a neutral field osu beats them big 31-
WHO DEY AGAIN?
The only way ND loses is if they don't take care of the ball. No one in college football puts together a better offensive game plan than Charlie. He will expose the Bucks D and Brady will come out of the game as the favorite for next years Heisman. bengalindian
No one, maybe except Pete Carroll, is as genius as Tressel when it comes to big Bowl games. There is no exposing the Bucks D because they are phenomenal. These two schools have only one common opponent this year, Michigan State. Hmmm, let's see. ND lost to MSU AT HOME, and OSU went up to Lansing and clobbered the Spartans. ND will be good for years to come, but this isn't their year. bengalboomer7
With all these talk of coaches aren't we forgetting that it's the players that gotta play. Just look at that right there and OSU has an advantage, and I think a tremendous advantage. It will be a great game, but we easily forget that Weis is playing with Ty Willinghams players, and that will be the differenceOh, and you should have told your Notre Dame guy about Tressel's 5(?) National titles (4 @ Youngstown St, 1 @ OSU, I think)
cincy9275
osu put wies and notre lame in there place . osu just had way to much talent and speed . coming in to this game i was telling my buddy notre dame has never seen a q/b like troy smith who just owned there piss poor defense . and that osu defense would hold down the fort and attack Quinn like he has never seen before and they did they made notre dame look very average . troy smith is a beast one of the best in the nation and will be a heisman candidate next year. all i keep hearing was can't give wies a month to get ready . well he could have 4 months and it would have done no good . GO BUCKEYES
AGrizzlyBaer
ah nothing like seeing notre dame lose bucks and another win for the big ten
ShulaSteakhouse
The emergence of Pittman and Smith this year has really made them a better team - if only they had this going early on in the year.....Too bad Holmes might leave - they could be great next year if they stay together. Would love to see Holmes, Ginn, or Hawk in stripes.
bengalindian
O-H baby! Domination, as expected, and the Senator showed why he is a genius in big games. I've been waiting for a breakout game like this all season, and here it was. Santonio Holmes will be a late first/ early second round pick, and the Bucks will be back and better than this year next season. I'm pumped. Stripes
I missed the game, but by the box score, it looks like we cleaned Notre Dame's clock... 617 yards?!?!?!
bengalboomer7
The score doesn't even reflect OSU's dominance. We left a lot of points on the field

reuben8733
definately agree wit grizzlybear.....had smith not tried to make a vince young type play......and the field goal mishaps....the buckeyes would have made the irish look like boys playing in a league of men!!
