No point in saying this.

Same thing goes for Herring. While the Bengals still should be looking for a safety in the first 2 rounds of the draft to go along with Madieu Williams, Herring is definitely an upgrade over Ohalete and Kaesviharn. But getting Madieu back next year will greatly improve this defense.

There IS no point in saying this. We all know that with Madieu and Herring the Bengals have a better chance at winning against the Jags and Colts. That's why this team may be one year away. But as we've seen in the Patriots the last few years, depth and defense is the key to winning championships, and we'll see if this team can pull it off.

Actually, there is a point in saying it: that point being that the Bengals have actually been very, very fortunate when it comes to injuries this year. Yeah, we miss MW bad, but he's been the only major loss we've had (Larry Moore probably being the only other one worth mentioning). Contrast that with last year when we were the walking wounded.

Well Herring is a major loss also I suppose, and yes the injuries have been light this year thankfully, so far, but they seem to have come at the worst/thinnest position, even before the injuries, and on the side of the ball that needs the most help.

Next to Palmer, Madeiu would be the next player on this team that I'd hate to lose, including Chad - considering the depth at WR and the fact the defense needs every good player it can get.
