CBin2k7
Interesting development in the playoff chase. I wish no pain on any human, but this certainly helps the Bengals, Garrard was not that impressive today against AZhttp://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/recap?gameId=251127022
Whur CHad At?
Garrard tho is a very good backup tho, IMO, one of the best in the league. Didn't they give him like a 5 year extension or something.
HoosierCat
Could be a big factor, esp. with Fred Taylor in his usual "dinged up" mode as well. Jax is skating along on that tiebreaker advantage over us and Pitt + a cupcake sked...but neither Pitt nor Cincy seem inclined to go away and both KC and SD are hanging in strong. Just one unexpected loss could screw the Jags (as it could any of the AFC playoff teams, with the possible exception of New England thanks to their crappy division competition). To quote the old cliche:"The plot thickens..." andybren
The Jags only real test in the last five games is Indy two weeks from now.
AMC
The Jags only real test in the last five games is Indy two weeks from now.Anything can happen. That goes for the Bengals too. After PITT we have other games to win as well. To say that the game next week is for the division is a little much. It goes a long way, but its not the sole determinant.BUT, if the Bengals go up two games on the Steelers, thats a nice cushion to have! GO COLTS! walzav29
We had better root for ther Jags anyway. KC and San Diesgo make for a bad matchup for the Bengals. I want no part of LT or the Chiefs running game.
Stripes
The Bengals win next week, and Leftwich's condition doesn't mean anything to us.
derekshank
Even if they lose to Indy, and manage to lose one against one of those cupcakes... they are 11-5. They're in the playoffs... So... Indy is in... Den is in, NE is in, and Jax is in. The competition now is between the AFCN for the division winner, and then the wildcard between the AFCN and AFCW. We can't get complacent. We're not in yet... but I predict us to win out... and be a playoff lock in 2-3 weeks.
HairOnFire
I haven't heard anyone mention this yet, but was there any physical contact that resulted in the injury? I didn't see anything.
