confident bengals fans

Awesome game. Maybe not the end result we envisioned but at least it was worth every second.

One thing struck me is how animated Peyton was in shots of him on the sideline. It looked like he sensed the urgency of the game and how it was an "All In" situation. He responded for sure. It seems in past seasons he kinda shrugged things off. He was still great before, especially stat-wise, but it seems this season he has more emotion and grit...just an observation.

BTW- omahacolt...I prefer my Crow marinaded in some barbeque sauce with lime then grilled over a very hot flame for about 7 minutes a side...served with a properly chilled Red Hook ESB. Just let me know how you would like us to prepare your crow for the AFC championship game....

get your crow.

just kidding guys. good game and it turned out to be a lot more high scoring than any of us thought

Omaha, the game reinforced what true Bengals fans knew deep down but didn't want to admit - our defense cannot stop Manning and the Colts. We have to eat some crow for this. However, we can be proud that our team showed the country that the Indy defense is a bit overrated, because the Colts basically couldn't stop Carson and the Bengals either :)

Hope these two teams can meet again. I am not a fan of "smash mouth football" - I always enjoy the "Last team with the football wins" scenario much better.

Let's be honest. We just aren't there yet. We are close, but not yet.

I beg to differ. Cincinnati's offense is very much there. The defense however is what isn't "there" yet. They sure as hell weren't "there" today, that's for damn sure! <_<

Oh, omahacolt, you're a classy dude. mia0xx.jpg

Ok, let me rephrase. As a whole team, we are not there yet. Offense=good. Defense=something to be desired.

You can't win with only an offense. Look at Indy last year. We must learn what they did, and take it to heart. But better.

Great graphic, biilly. But in defense of the defense, we got taken by the best in Peyton Manning. We stopped the run; our secondary just couldn't quite make the miracle happen. No shame in getting aced by the ace , baby. And I think we will get another shot. :bengal:

Thanks Dave. You can't believe how difficult it is to find a picture of a suitable milk carton on the internet is!

I think there is a little shame. Mostly in the total of 5 third down conversions of over 10 yards by the Colts in todays game. There are simply no excuses for that many! Manning or not!

As far as a second chance, I sure as hell hope so!

I think this game showed that the COlts D is vulnerable, not that the COlts are beatable.

This game with Madieu at FS may have made a real difference on all those long 3rd downs, for sure...

My biggest disappointment was in some critical playcalls, especially the 4th down tries. But overall, the Bengals kept pace and showed they are about the only team who can go toe-to-toe with Indy. It may be a loss but the league got a big wake-up call in that:

A - Indy is a juggernaught with a susceptible D.

B - Cincy is a juggernaught with a susceptible D.
