BengalszoneBilly Posted November 19, 2005 Report Posted November 19, 2005 Also would love to make the Colts mad enough that they take it out on some unsuspecting 'burgers in their own comfy environs next week!! Ya'll with me on that!? Hell Yeah! I'd LOVE for the Bengals to piss 'em off real good by dealing them their 1st loss, then send em' home to take it out on the Steelers the following Sunday! The Big Orange Posted November 19, 2005 Report Posted November 19, 2005 I betcha we see one of those Manning sighs after his O only scores 3 points like against the Pats. We've had a lot of dreams come true this year...a top 2 QB in the league...a top 2 WR in the league...the best corner in the league...winning a ton of games, only 1 team with a better record. Now it's time to see the next (but certainly not our final) dream realized...beating the top ranked team...Next comes a playoff birth with perhaps the extra cherry of winning the division...then comes a playoff win, but I predict our dreams will end in the AFC championship game...and winning the big one next yearCarson as MVP and Chad as most receiving yards and Delta with the most int's would be extra cherries for me. USMC203 Posted November 19, 2005 Report Posted November 19, 2005 Look for some change on the D, they will do some things that no one has seen this year and maybe we will see a change in TE for the run game. I am dreaming again. Bengals 30, Colts 19 they try for 2 and don't make them, Graham puts it out of reach and D holds. Quote
buck3y3d Posted November 19, 2005 Report Posted November 19, 2005 Colts 24 Bengals 17 (no turnovers for Colts)Bengals 31 Colts 17 (if Bengals can get turnovers) What is this "if" s**t? Make a call one way or the other!Bengals 31Colts 21[Whoa man. I thought i would qualify my statement because turnovers will always make a difference. But your right, i need to be a blind homer and pick the Bengals by 10 no matter what happens in turnovers. Okay. Here it is:Bengals: 75 Colts: 3Bengals-Colts combine to score 78 points it what was expected to be an epic battle. Peyton Manning throws 6 interceptions, 3 of which are returned for touchdowns. The Colts down 42 at halftime left the field demoralized. In what appeared to be a salute to fantasy fans, Marvin had Shayne Graham kick 3 second-half field goals from 50 yards. The Colts only score came with two minutes left after Craig Krenzel threw an interception. The Colts previously deemed a Superbowl Team now appear to be headed towards a divisional loss in the playoffs. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted November 19, 2005 Report Posted November 19, 2005 The Bengals win this game "IF" they not only stop the run, and get a turnover or two, but the offense converts the turnovers into points. I just don't want to see an embarassment of an effort by the run D only to be further let down by an anemic offense like against s**ttsburg. This reminds me more of the Broncos coming in here on MNF last year with a great record against crappier teams than the Bengals had...Bengals-24Colts- 17WHODEY !!! Quote
derekshank Posted November 20, 2005 Report Posted November 20, 2005 I'm a little surprised we broke even on ESPN's expert picks. I didn't expect that much respect.http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/features/talent Quote
alleycat Posted November 20, 2005 Report Posted November 20, 2005 I think Pollack has his breakout game (mainly seen in stuffing the run) and Rudi runs wild today. Lewis is known for clamping down tighter as the season advances. The bye week will have been a big help to the rookies (esp. Odell), and I think we'll see a rock solid performance. Quote

HairOnFire Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 The first team to score fifty points on Sunday will win it. Forgive me for quoting myself, but I don't think I was wrong even though the Colts didn't quite reach 50. Prior to the game I just couldn't see either defense stopping the incredibly balanced offenses they would face. Worse, from the moment the opening whistle blew it became more and more clear that the Bengals defense had picked their poison and would concentrate on stopping the Colts running game...a defensive strategy I openly mocked all week. We all witnessed the results, 37 first half points surrendered. We also witnessed the results of the halftime adjustment, Edge finally getting some yardage, but the Colts offense slowed and scored only 10 points. The strategy was wrong. The result was predictable. Quote
