duus Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 So, I purchased my 4 tickets for the upcoming game about 3 months ago. Growing up in the 80's, I got to go to several games over the years. I think my last game was somewhere around 1988 or so. It's been a long time! I have lived in Pittsburgh for 14 years now, and it's very hard to get back for any games (especially having 2 little ones now!). But buying these tickets prior to the start of the season has proven to be very wise! I typically only make it back into the area around the end of December, and as I say, have never been to PBS. So ... an almost silly question (especially for those nuts out there who like to go bear-chested in the dead of winter) ... but any idea as to what the weather might be for gametime on Sunday, as well as what things are usually like weather-wise (i.e. wind, etc.) at PBS? I'm a die-hard fan, but I also am not one of those who will have enough in me to be wearing a muscle shirt when it's 20 degrees! Reasonable advise please!Suggestions and information are greatly appreciated! I am so much looking forward to this! I'm hoping to find some guys in the lot prior to the game as well as after our victory. Heck, I'm not even 100% where I am going, but I think I'll just follow the traffic. Can't wait! Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 It can get really windy in the stadium, so even if it's not brutally cold, the wind will get you, so dress appropriately. Quote
Stripes Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 It has been lightly snowing up here at Wright State since Tuesday. Hopefully it picks up and heads south! :player: Quote
derekshank Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 Right now it is expected to be a high of 52 with a few showers. Nothing like the freezing sleet and snow we were hoping to get in Manning's head. Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 The weather is supposed to be about 45-50 degrees with a 30% chance of rain at this point - not too shabby.Definitely get there early if you want to beat the crowds and parking hassles - like around 11:30 or earlier - around 12:30 it gets really packed outside and you can be late, ecspecially with the pat downs.PBS has terrible food - and it's overpriced, but the sightlines are awesome from all of the seats. Great place to watch a game if you're not behind a stairwell railing or near a stairwell leading up into the seats. Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 Don't bet on "a few showers". I'm doing my rain dance! Quote
HairOnFire Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 PBS has terrible food - and it's overpriced, but the sightlines are awesome from all of the seats. According to the Dan Patrick Show....6'2", 210....DING!!!.....a recent report about food service in NFL stadiums they found slime mold growing in some of the food equipment in PBS. Funny thing about the report is food safety at PBS was deemed to be far better than in other stadiums around the NFL. Quote
turningpoint Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 46 degrees and a light drizzle...with cloud cover the entire day, is my bet. Quote
bengalindian Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 Yeah, its a lot colder in the stadium because of the wind, so dress with a couple layers. Plus, all the jumping up and down you're gonna be doing may warm you up.I really hope this weather up in Dayton moves south, because it's perfect "Beat the Colts" weather up here. Quote
buck3y3d Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 From the National Weather Service Sunday: A slight chance of rain and snow before 2pm, then a slight chance of rain between 2pm and 4pm, then a slight chance of rain and snow after 4pm. Partly cloudy, with a high near 44. Chance of precipitation is 20%. Quote
