combatbengal Posted November 12, 2005 Report Posted November 12, 2005 The sports critics are comparing todays Bengal team with the 88 team. That team sent the following players to the pro bowl. RB James Brooks, WR Eddie Brown, QB Boomer Esiason, S David Fulcher, TE Rodney Holman, NT Tim Krumrie, G Max Montoya, T Anthony Muñoz and CB Eric Thomas. Who do you think we'll send this year? My guess is QB Palmer, T Anderson, WR Houshmandzadeth, CB James, WR Johnson, CB O'neal, and LB Thurman. What are your thoughts? Quote

I doubt Housh or Odell will go, and probably not James either, but the rest seem likely candidates. Quote

Spain Posted November 12, 2005 Report Posted November 12, 2005 Every one always forgets Bach is posible our best Palya, but i give the nod to Palmer. Quote
bengalindian Posted November 12, 2005 Report Posted November 12, 2005 Palmer, Chad, Deltha, Steinbach. I don't Big Willie gets the nod this year because he's struggled a little.Madieu for sure, had he not gotten injured. Quote
bengalindian Posted November 12, 2005 Report Posted November 12, 2005 If Levi shuts down Freeney, he could very well make a strong case. Quote
combatbengal Posted November 12, 2005 Author Report Posted November 12, 2005 I would liked to see Rudi go but I don't think his numbers are good enough. Graham was doing well at the begining of the season but missed a couple of FG's so he won't be going. TJ has a really good chance. Oh and I forgot to mention one person. Marvin Lewis coaching the team in the pro bowl!!! Quote

In the AFC the only backs who can compete for the 3rd spot in the Pro Bowl are McGahee (Bills usually have to play catch-up and don't run it enough), Martin (see Bills comments), Mike Anderson, and Dillon. Its realistic to think that Rudi could be there, especially with the season the Bengals have had so far.PalmerC.JohnsonR.JohnsonJ.JohnsonTJWillieLeviToryDelthaOdellSteinbachOK, Levi, Odell, and J.Johnson are a stretch, but I see both CB's, Palmer, CJ and TJ, and Big Willie as shoe-ins with the rest having a very good chance. Stripes Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 I can't imagine T.J. making it to the Pro Bowl. That doesn't only seem unlikely, it seems unfathomable. There are too many good WR options for our number two to make it... I think. Quote
turningpoint Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 No way tj makes the probowl...especially since Moss joined the afc.Rudi should make the probowl as the 3rd rb...behind LT and another guy forget who.Oneal will make the prbowl, but i don't think james will only 3 corners from the afc make it....that would insane if they both make it....injuries will only make this possible.Palmer is a shoe in.Johnson is a shoe.Anderson should make it 3 in a row, hope fully stienabch will make it also.Jones will make it after willie anderson retires.Odell might have a shot, but unlikely, I'd rather see simmons in there wouldn't you guys?O and the person that wants Marvin lewis to coach the prbowl, I hope you die. the afc championship game loser coachs the afc team in the prbowl. ShulaSteakhouse Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 Levi is not going to the pro bowl. Quote
Stripes Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 If I had to call the participants, I'd say Carson, Chad, and Deltha. No more no less. Quote
