dweebe
I'm a St. Louis Rams fan coming here not to troll but a serious discussion from a few threads at some Rams forums. The fan that ran on the field yesterday and grabbed the ball from Favre might have given the Bengals the advantage and won the game.I ask you this, if the situation was a direct opposite of yesterday and the following occured:The game was in Green BayThe Bengals were driving downfield to (outside possibility) score and win the gameA Packer fan runs onfield and grabs the ball from Palmer as he goes back to passThe play is called dead and the Packers regroup to stop the Bengals driveWhat would you guys be saying now?I asked the same type question last week when the Rams won when Mike Furrey stripped the ball from Ernie Conwell and scored even though Conwell was down. (The Saints had no timeouts so they couldn't challenge.)By the way, is it true the guy already is online selling his autograph?
JPW
What if Favre had been able to take advandage of the "free time out" and had thrown a TD pass when play resumed ?

The_Next_Big_Thing
I think that guy should be banned from the stadium for the rest of the season at minimum, and I hope he'sa season ticket holder.Drunken stupidity belongs in cleveland, not Cincinnati. turningpoint
well if we were in green bay, we wouldn't of gotten a 48yd PI call.
bengalboomer7
I'm sure all of us has done something stupid in our lives, something we regret. I've tried holding my opinion for thus very reason( I'm not the sharpest knife in the toolshed, if ya get what I mean ) This is why we have a legal system. My personal punsihment might be a public stoning, but I'm sure our judicial branch will do just fine.BTW, love the Farva line. I just lost a buck............To myself

We would probably be outraged, and some of us would be screaming about how terrible Packers fans are. We're all a bunch of useless homers. bengalindian
I know we'd definitely be bitching and whatnot. But we all know that Carson Palmer would not have thrown 5 picks and that Chad Johnson doesn't need to commit offensive PI because he got beat by a safety, cuz he woulda been gone.Seriously, I would have been pissed, but there's nothing you can do about it now. Gregory Gall
I don't think that the outcome of the game is the whole issue here. The Bengal organization has a duty to provide adequate security for the visiting team's personnel (as well as their own). Even though this turned out to be a harmless prank you never know when it could be otherwise. Also remember this is a business and those are muti-million $$$ commodities out there on that field. DontPushMe
I doubt my opinion of it would have changed much. That was the funniest thing ive ever seen while watching a football game.
Section 310
As written above, the jackball gave the flustered Packers a free timeout and allowed them to regroup. They were out of timeouts and in disarray at that point in the game. We were pissed because it stopped the clock.
bengalindian
You don't apparently understand the purpose of stopping the clock. In a situation with hurry up offense, the defense is on its heels and it helped the Bengals' D to regroup, not vice versa. I'm sure Favre would have been happy to hurry up as much as possible because the D was tired and confused.
