Opened as a 7-point favorite and have already moved to 8, per americasline.com.

GB lost WR Robert Fergunson and RB Ahman Green to injuries severe enough they had to be carted off the field.

Farve still had 315 yards pasing w/2 TDs, tho...

Quick look at GB's injuries...and we thought we had it rough...

I'll be down there Sunday, this better not be another Houston nail-biter against a horrid team.

I know Favre might make some plays, but outside of that, there's no excuse for the Bengals not to destroy this team, if nothing else out of pure frustration. Hell the Vikes just beat them.

Bottom-line, just win the game either way, but it's also a chance to throw it downfield early and lay it on the Pack by pounding Rudi and going over the top to Chad, Henry and TJ all day long and don't stop doing it.

This team needs a confidence boost bad.

I am looking for this team to make a statement against GB. IF they do, that will show me something. Not that it matters what I think. But, they need to do this for themselves. This team has not really hit on all cylinders this year. Even our wins, should have been bigger wins. Our losses should not have been losses, including yesterday. We beat ourselves. This team needs to come out and get it all going at the same time to begin a roll.

Frankly, I think they have been tentative all year. Let it loose. Kick some as.

I think what we should look for is how the Bengals react after losing a big game (game of the year IMO), endure the city's anger, and how quickly they forget about last Sunday.

THAT will be a big indicator on how far we've come... or how far we have to go. We lost to Pittsburgh... just about everyone else has too. So we shouldn't be too whinny this week.

from profootballtalk.com...

AHMAN A-GONE

We're hearing that Packers running back Ahman Green's quadriceps tendon has popped off of the bone, and that Green is done for the year.

The Packers already have lost primary backup Najeh "Dookie" Davenport for the season.

Green injured the tendon on October 3 against the Panthers and missed the October 9 game against the Saints. In the wake of the injury, folks surely will be asking whether Green was truly ready to play.

We're also told that receiver Robert Ferguson is expected to play again this season despite an ugly knee-buckling that occurred when he came down after making a catch against the Vikings.

When my older brother was in Jr. High, he hadn't become the big man he is now just yet. So every once in a while he had problems with a bully. I didn't like that, because I was his 8-year-old little brother, and he made himself feel better by abusing me.

GB is our 8-year-old little brother this week, after we got bullied last week. Marvin will have the team ready. As for me... I'm looking ahead to Baltimore, maybe even Indy.

no reason to look at Indy we have the 2 week bye week for that.

here's my game planning for the team.

Study the Packers passing attack.

study everything else on the ravens, cause the packers don't have anything else and ravens don't have a passing atttack.

fair enough... I just want our next opportunity to prove ourselves... and it won't come for a month. @ Baltimore will say more than the GB game, because it is in the division... but they have a short week playing Pittsburgh on Monday night. I don't think they have a chance against us. Chicago beat them!

With the ole gunslinger coming into town the Bengals secondary should have a field day and will get at least three picks. Having said that the secondary better be on its toes because number 4 could also put 4 touchdowns on the board too.

would make sense, cause this always seems to happen.

the pass D is the strength of our team, then we have one of those games where our secondary looks like it couldn't cover a 2nd grader.

Looks like the perfect game, where there's interviews of brett Favre in january.

"What was the game where you saw something that turned around the season?"

Favre response, " It had to be the game vs cincinnati, everything just came together, our team united, and we just found a way to click."

the reporter," yeah that was the game you threw for 350yds and 5tds. "

I then toss my remote through the tv.

Should we worry about a trap game? I mean it is Brett Favre and he's notorious for "doing the impossible" as most NFL "color guys" always say.

Fair enough. It's true that Favre can do things like post 50+ points on what looked to be a hot New Orleans team. This could have looked to be a trap game... because even bad teams win a few, and they always come against unexpected teams...

But this doesn't have that feel to me. I admit, I was a little concerned about the Texans game, even though all the stats looked to be in our favor. I don't know if it was the fact that they had a bye... or that we hadn't lost yet, so we seemed due... I don't know.

This time though, we just came off of a loss. I don't think that game shook our confidence... and even if it did... this one should give it back to us. We may not win by 30... but I don't think 2 scores is too much to expect. Their defense simply won't stop us if we don't stop ourselves.

Nah. Had the Bengals beaten Pitt, it might have been a concern, but given the ugly loss I doubt they are thinking about anything but getting back on track vs. GB.

Personally, I think GB is actually more dangerous than Baltimore right now, anyhow. Our run D is capable of making even a 3rd or 4th string back look like a pro bowler, and Farve isn't done yet. This game could easily turn into a shootout, and the way our O couldn't score last weekend I'm not anxious for that.

Baltimore, by contrast, is a "classic Bungles"-caliber mess right now. They have no QB and their O is effectively nonexistent. Their D spends all day on the field and is banged-up to boot (Reed, Lewis both hurt). Ray-ray is reported to be basicallly sulking, Reed is miffed that he doesn't have a big-bucks extension, Ogden is looking about 1,000,000 yeaars old, and the bottom line is that it appears the team has stopped listening to Billick. I think the players are on the verge of packing it in for the year, if they haven't already, and the beat-down that's almost certain to be administered by Pitt next Monday night will be the final straw.

Heard this morning B-more will not have Ray Lewis or Ed Reed for the Monday night game against P-Burg. The Steelers should redefine the term BEAT DOWN in this game... I can see this one getting ugly REAL quick, but "what if" happens and the Ravens pull the miracle ?? Talk about loving life for at least the whole next week !!! One of the few times I'll be rooting for the Ratbirds. Maybe in vain, but I'll be rooting nonetheless !!!

WHODEY !!!

I wouldn't dismiss the Ratbirds, they still have the second ranked D. We will be playing them in Baltimore, you don't think they remember what happened last year to them. Chester Taylor can run the ball, if they give him a chance and J. Lewis always kills us. Plus our biggest weakness in the passing game is their strength, that is passing to the TE.

But first things first, we should handle the Pack, Favre does scare me.

J. Lewis always kills us.

You're right... Lewis usually has his way with us... but even more so with the Browns. He breaks NFL records against the Browns with regularity... and last week had 24 rushes for 59 yards. The Ravens got old fast... they are no longer to be feared except as spoilers.

We should treat them as such... and be prepared. They will want to beat us as divisional foes... but we have to show them we are now far superior.
