duus
As I said back on October 2 in the 'Looking at the rest of our schedule' thread, --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------"As I've said before, these next couple weeks are critical. After these next two away games, we get 4 out of 5 at home. The competition won't be easy, but being home will help.I like to break the season in quarters.Q1 gives us a 4-0 record.Q2 is 2 away followed by 2 home. The Jags and Steelers will spell trouble, but 2-2 or 3-1 will be a success.Q3 has its own headaches with a tough home game against Indy, and away games against Baltimore and Pittsburgh. 2-2 will be great.Q4 is the home stretch, and I'm expecting good things from them just like previous years. 3-1 at least, and maybe a 4-0 record just like Q1.That puts us with at most 5 losses, maybe as few 3. My guess is 4.Go Bengals!"--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Well ... We started 4-0 ... that was Q1.We are now 1-2 with one game to go ... that is Q2.With a win next week, we are still sitting at 6-2 and leading the division ... big game in Baltimore ... then we head into the bye-week and a match-up against the Colts. I still think we will end up 11-5 at the worst, and maybe even a game better when all is done. Needless to say, much needs fixed and their is tremendous room for improvement and we are still second best in our division. I'm ok with that ... for now. Come December, I want to see a different Bengal team.I haven't lost faith. We haven't even played half of our games, and we are 5-2. Back to work.Go Bengals! ShulaSteakhouse
It's okay to be disappointed.I sure am. I expected more from them today.Excuses are for losers, and I'm quite tired of them after 15 years. Can only pray they somehow turn this around - they haven't played well for almost a month now honestly, and are looking like the previous two 8-8 teams suddenly (2-2 last 4 games). Ox
But with all due respect to the Steelers, they are still hella good team. To quote a man named Flair, "To be the man, ya gotta beat the man".
