LesterLyles
I was impressed with the Bengals despite the loss. IMO, the Bengals proved they were for real last night. The Jags game was top 4 in terms of your toughest games on your schedule.I knew you had good WRs, knew the line was much impoved and I always liked Palmer. I think Rudy is good, not great. But what I didn't realize was how good Perry is. very good looking back. Let me tell you that he will come in so handy down the stretch. In fatc, he kept Cincy in the game IMO. Jets used to use Lamont in a similar role. Using these stud backups is a very effective way to wear down a defense in the 4th quarter of games. AND HE CAN PLAY!! The D is much improved but not there yet (when I say there I mean NFL elite). Bengals are a playoff team this year and legit SB conteneder next year IMO. Bengalbob
Thanks Lester. It's always nice to hear what others outside of homerville think of the team. Your positive comments warm the heart! What's your take on the penalties, missed tackles, and various other mistakes Bengaldom is freaking out about?By the way, nice to see Vinny back. I hope he can keep it up for you. Any chance of trading for Philip Rivers?
Stripes
Thank ya Lester. Nice game taking down the Buccanneers.Honestly, I wasn't the least bit impressed with my Bengals last night, but hell, I am bound to be pissed about it. Nice to see a less biased opinion weighing in on the situation.Who Dey and J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets
Ox
Hey Les what is the scoop over there on Vinny? Is the homecoming a beautiful thing for the 41 yr old?
Stripes
Is the homecoming a beautiful thing for the 41 yr old? Could be, but your sig certainly fits that question.
LesterLyles
Penalties were tough but I thought the crew was simply calling them too often. Bengals will win games like this as they mature. Vinny's retun has created apretty good buzz. he is an all around nice guy so even Giants fans like the story. Still, it will be very tough this year. Sure hehas an arm but he can't move. Jets will be good this year but I just don't see the playoffs. I see 8-8, 9-7 at this point.
