Stripes
Chad was crying on the sideline. That is a sign of simple frsutration. He wants this team to win every single game, and he wants to play a big role in those wins. He didn't complain the last four weeks, even with a few games in which he didn't produce much, because we were winning. Now, this week, when he catches only five balls, and we lose, he feels he is partly to blame. He even said, "I wished I wasn't Chad Johnson. I should never feel that way." He is embarassed and disappointed in himself. He fully recognized T.J.'s meaning to this offense, and when they are back on the field together, all of this drama will die out. Whur CHad At?
I love Chad's emotions. He wants to win. He gets emotional. Isnt that what you guys want to see? Chad wants the ball always, and that is the sign of a true competitor.I feel bad for the guy, he is an elite reciever, he should not be getting 5 catches in that kind of a game.Agreed with Touchdown Bengals
HoosierCat
<shrug> On my list of "issues that the Bengals need to address," Chad doesn't even make the top 10.

O.K., he was completely drilled on one, but according to his standards he should have caught it. Other than Deion Branch, the ball has come Chad's way more than anyone else in the entire NFL (including Moss and Owens). I am so not worried about Chad, but at some point he is going to have to learn to keep his emotions in check.

I think this is where having Marvin Lewis will make the difference. Every year we have seen Chad mature as a person and as a player, and much of that can be credited to Marvin's tutelage. As of right now, I think we can call Chad a mix of three other elite receivers in this league. He is part Terrell Owens, in that he has that arrogant confidence, but not nearly to T.O.'s extent, and he is less physical. He is part Randy Moss in that he is a deep threat on every play, yadda yadda yadda, and he is part Hines Ward in that he can be very emotional upon personal failure, but uses a deep connection with his coaches to get through it. jditty47
as ppl have said, he just wants to win...and after 15 years of losing im feeling the same way. i was pissed that we blew that game when we definately shoulda at least sent it to overtime. we need passion to get over the hump, and chad will be the one to light the fire. Whur CHad At?
Chad needs to work on gaining more stamina. Thats what differs him from TO. He gets to damn many leg cramps and has to get IV's all the damn time.
ckj414
When Cincinnati put together a decent drive Johnson turned the wrong way on Palmer's deep pass and couldn't get to it. But Johnson and Palmer got into it on the sideline, and Lewis had to separate them. But Johnson complained after the game that Palmer wasn't trying hard enough to get him the ball. "They didn't get it to me period!" said Johnson, who had five receptions for 52 yards. "They doubled me the whole game. That happens every week. Does that mean that when a team doubles me that I'm through? It's not too hard to get it to (Terrell Owens) or Randy Moss." oh dear oh dear guess thats what you get when he consorts with a piece of s**t like rosenhausDidn't Chad have more balls thrown to him last year than any other WR in the NFL? I don't know where they stand in this young season, but based on last years stats if anything they throw it to him too much...
