Per Bengals.com:

The Bengals today made the following roster moves:

Signed free agent C-G Larry Turner to a two-year contract. Turner (6-2, 290; Eastern Kentucky) is a second-year NFL player. He was a seventh-round choice of the St. Louis Rams in the 2004, and he played in 14 games for the Rams last season, with one start at LG. He also saw action at LG and on special teams in the Rams NFC Divisional Playoff game at Atlanta. He was with the Rams in the 2005 preseason and was waived on Sept. 3.

PRACTICE SQUAD MOVE: The Bengals today signed rookie G Kyle Takavitz to the practice squad. Takavitz (6-3, 310; University of Cincinnati) was originally signed by the Bengals on June 27 of this year and played in three preseason games before being waived on Aug. 30.

When is the LSU Super-center Ben Wilkerson available? I thought he was PUP, which means he's back after week 6 in time for Blitzburg.

Still rehabbing, per Hobson. Looks to me like he's headed to IR and will get a chance to make his mark next year. This is probably Braham's last year & Bluto and a healthy Wilkerson would give us a center combo for the future next year.

I thought they signed Braham to a two year deal. Yes, No?

Assuming Wilkerson makes the team........

I still have my doubts about a guy that wasnt even drafted..

Other injured players were so Im not basing his undraftability on that.

I think he needs to reshape his body as he's not been able to workout properly for quite awhile... I believe he has talent but must get the body in NFL shape...

Bluto is going to be the starter next year imo and whether is Richie or Wilky one of these will back him up...

I'm surprised Brad St. Louis never got a mention in the whole double-injury hub-bub. I know it's different to be an every-play center, but still...

That is a very good point... I don't think he would ever really get practice at center, and I don't know about his physical traits, but still... That could be a good way for a team to save a roster spot.

I think he is a back up at the tight end spot. At least that is what he was a few years ago. He might now only be a long snapper, and nothing else.

You are correct. On depth charts, he is usually just listed as the long snapper, but he was drafted as a tight end, in the 7th round of the 2000 draft, I believe.

Bring back Buckethead or else cut him a deal to help coach the line next year. Braham is the eyes of the line and his wisdom will be indispensable for Ghiacuic, Turner, Wilkerson, or whoever.

Hobson has that PUPs get 3 weeks evaluation in practice after the 6 weeks and can stay in limbo for a total of 12 weeks into the season before cut, activated, or IRed...So Wilkerson is proly not gonna be an issue for a long while due to the nature of his injury. Maybe the same w/ Webster since it's the same injury.

Takavitz to the practice squad was a surprise to me. It looked like they cut McGruder to clear a PS spot for an active roster player like Larry Stevens so they can activate Big Duane. Somebody active has to get bumped when Clemons goes on....but like the man said Don't hold your breath.

My guess is that the new guy is not that good, otherwise St.Louis would not have spent a

3rd round draft choice on C Rich Incognito this year. They cut him even though Incognito

just signed last week. They felt he was not good enough to keep even as a back up and the

Rams do not have the best line in the NFL.

Maybe we can teach mim up.

I have to say I am worried. I still think the '88 team might have had a different outcome if they had not lost their RT at the end of the regular season.

I'm not overly concerned. We may have lost Larry Moore for the season, but he was only passable as a backup anyways. Braham should be fine soon enough, and our continuity will shine bright once again. Until then, Ghiaciuc will have to step up, and if he cannot, we still have Steinbach to play hero just like last week.
