bengalboomer7
I always watch the Monday night game with my dad and since Green Bay is playing we were talking Brett Favre. The Pack is terrible, their coach is bad (moron got stripped of his GM duties last year, but GB was dumb enough to give him an extension as a coach) and Brett is probably miserable. We got to talking about him MAYBE wanting out and starting talking about what if Randy Moss in Oakland had a gunslinger like Favre that will just toss it up throwing to him. Now I know tis sounds like a crazy conversation, and it is, but the moe I thought about it the more probable it could sound. Think about it, Al Davis isn't afraid to throw a ton of money at vets and loves to win, and it would be a perfect scenario for both Moss and Favre. In my fantasy world, it ressurects Favre's career I bet they'd win a ton of games. Now I know it's crazy, but my father and I spent about 15 good minutes talking about this. It was a bonding moment Anyways thoght it would make good conversation here too.
Stripes
I assume you're talking about Favre playing there next year, due to their crapola record at the moment. That would be an intriguing idea, though I don't see it. I highly doubt Favre ever plays for an NFL team other than the Packers. He is the face of that franchise and has been ever since he took the starting job (against the Bengals too).I'd be sad to see a jersey out there with Favre's name on the back if that jersey isn't green and gold. eclipse99t
Yeah, same, I really don't see Favre playing after this season, due to the crappiness of the Packers, but even if he does, I highly doubt that its with a team other than the Packers. Favre is a Packer till he retires.
Junglelove4
Yeah as much as I want Brett to go out on a good note, I would never want to see him wearing any other jersey. That would almost be heartbreaking. He's still got it though... and half those picks are his wide receivers fault.
Stripes
Packers are now officially 0-4... Sad to see that happen. How terrible is the NFC North? The Bears and Lions lead it with 1-2 records. The NFC West was supposed to be the runaway worst division in football, but it certainly looks like it has some competition now. redsbengalsbucks
Favre is old and does not have what it takes to pick a team up and carry them like he used to, he is still above average but GB is in shambles and needs the young Favre they used to have to make unbelievable plays that most QB's can not get away with. bengalboomer7
Uhh, did you not watch the game last night redsbengalsbucks? Brett Favre still has it, but is team smells like the in betweens of Big O's fat rolls he's kept that teams head over water for years now and his team is soooo bad that it's just now showing up. I'm sorry, but give that guy an offense and marino's records get shattered.Which brigns me to my second point. This is the internet, use your imagination guys. I know the above scenario is more than unlikely, but it's an interesting thought and makes moe sense than you would think.

He made some absolutely awesome throws. He has one pretty good receiver, a good runnning back, and no O-line. They have a porous defense. They're done, but don't blame Brett. ShulaSteakhouse
Hell I'd take Collins over Favre at this point. Not that Favre isn't still a good Qb, he just needs a lot around him. I'm actually sick to death of seeing the crappy, boring Packers on prime time constantly.I'd much rather see today's young star QB's than the same old goats just because Madden has a woody for the Cowboys and Packers and still lives in the 70's.The Steelers, Bengals, Bucs, Colts, Chargers, Eagles, and Giants should be on every freakin' week, yet other than the Eagles they never are it seems. DC_Bengals_Fan
Hell I'd take Collins over Favre at this point. Not that Favre isn't still a good Qb, he just needs a lot around him. You're insane. He doesn't "need a lot around him" - he nearly won the game on his own. Collins is inaccurate, largely because he doesn't have the guts to step into the pocket to make his throws. He's serviceable, but that's about all. Favre's still got a gun and surprising accuracy. bengalboomer7
I'm with DC on this one. That's abusing your tongue saying you'd take Collins over Favre. Can't argue with hime being on TV too much but that's the NFl. They do things like don't let jake Plummer honor Pat Tillman with a decal on his helment then make every NFl team have Futbol Americano on it this week

Anyway, that decal issue is absolutely disgraceful !!! Can't honor a guy who gave up the big dollars to fight and die for his country, but they can advertise the NFL playing in the middle of a country who has no team to begin with ?? Just another reason for me to hate the NFL big wigs !!! OK, sorry, but Favre is going no where... I can't say as I enjoy watching him and his team go down in flames after the career he's had (he almost pulled it out last night), but I would hate it more to not see him finish his NFL career in Green Bay. It would be like Elway going to St. Louis before he retired (just wouldn't be right)... Anyway, certainly couldn't see Brett in Oakland. Just my two cents...WHODEY !!! redsfan2
If Joe Montana can go to the Chiefs and Emmit Smith to the Cards ........ Then I think Favre could possibly go to the Raiders .... . If he thinks he can still start and the Pack won't sign him ... he'll go. My opinion only

Favre's still got a gun and surprising accuracy.Favre is an INT/TO machine with a low QB rating (8 INT's, 80.2 rating), Collins doesn't turn the ball over and can throw the deep ball. He has 6 TD's and 0 INT's this year. Favre has already fumbled the ball twice and lost two of them additionally. That's 10 TO's so far for him in 4 games. You can't win like that these days.I'm not saying Favre is better than Collins, but he is prone to stinker games like the Tampa and Detroit games this year, and is too careless.Put Favre in Oakland and he probably has worse #'s than Collins due to his INT problems. Favre's at the end of his rope, he'll have his good/great games still, but there's just an increasing # of bad ones that out-weigh his entertaining but meaningless comebacks like last night. If you call that needing alot around you, then every QB in the league needs alot around them. Oh and put Favre into a Raiders uniform, god forbid, and they are 3-1, not 1-3. I mean seriously Favre to Moss? Geeez talk about alot of touchdowns. Favre is definately better than Collins. No Question.
AMC
Favre will go out a Packer, and it will be after this year....Not like he had planned, but he looks tired, and with his house in MS gone and his wife having med probs, he needs to hang it up.
