walshfan
Cincinnati, Indy, Tampa Bay are going for their fourth consecutive victory to start the season this week.Looking at the three teams that started 4-0 last year it seems significant to reach that plateau if history repeats itself...the Eagles Steelers and Patriots started 4-0 last year... Steelers made it to the AFC championship game before losing and the Eagles and Pats played in the Super Bowl...Will these three teams stay on the same course as the previous 3 and have the same results? Can you see any or all of these teams getting to the AFC or Super Bowl games???Whats your take on this.. Coincedence?
bengalsrz
i think it is very important for us, especcially since we always start the season bad and finish off great, hopefully this season we can play both the begenning and the end well, if so, we are superbowl bound WHO-DEY!!! Bengal_Brad
I think it is more than a coincidence that an undefeated start of four games does lead to a play off appearance. It helps a team that might stumble still end up with a winning record. If the Bengals go 4-0 with 12 games remaining even if they are .500 the rest of the way they would end up at 10-6.BTW Jets made the playoff, Steelers and Pats played in the AFC Championship game. It was Philly and NE in the Superbowl. Two AFC teams can not play each other in the Superbowl.

duus
Also, although I don't think it takes away from the argument ... the Steelers started 3-1 last year after 4 games. They were 1-1 to start the season, with Ben Rottenburger taking over in the loss to the Ravens in week 2.
Stripes
Being 4-0 would be awesome. That would all but guaruntee a playoff berth, and that's what it's all about baby. If we play like we have all year, then 4-0 is in our very near future.
Lita
If we're going to beat the good teams, we have to beat the bad ones... so starting 4-0 is very important.
Kazkal
Even bad teams can beat good teams (look at dolphins vs pats last year)Winning the games were suppossed to win is very importent IE Cards/browns 2003

We are in the Jungle with a crazy excited atmosphere. Different story.
