redsfan2 Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 Bengals win 34 - 17. Bears "D" exposed as "Not-So-Awesome-Against-Cincinnati-Still-Awesome-Against-Rest-Of-NFL." I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one that's tired of hearing this. Everone seems to forget that last season we played nothing but top 10 defenses for a good part of the season and did pretty dam well against them. I'd also say that for the most part, they were as good or better than the Bears. This year, the Vikes trotted out all their off season additions that were going to make their defense the terror of their division. They didn't fare too well either. Being nice .... you could say that the Bears have a 7th ranked defense ( after 2 games ), and that makes them a tough team to beat. Realistically ... and probably a lot more accurately, you could say that they're the best of a bad bunch. Quote
schweinhart Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 BENGALS 35 - BEARS 6I hope you're right on target again about the margin of victory. Kick it off already Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 Like I said earlier in this thread, The defenses the Bengals offense have previously faced were comparitively better then the offenses "Duh Bears" defenses faced in those same weeks.I think they'll take themselves down off of that high horse now!
