Can the Bengals handle the Jaguars in week 5?

The Jag's game has bothered me since the schedule came out. The way I looked at the schedule was that we had a very favorable first 4 games. Our schedule is rather favorable by the fact we play most of our difficult opponents at home (At the time I was looking at the Vikings, GB, Indy and Buffalo games,,,things have changed, obviously - lol).

PLaying in Jacksonville, on Sun night is going to be tough. Now I heard you lost one of your starting DB's for the year...unfortunatly that works to our advantage. I hate to see anyone get hurt!

Ahh well. See you on Oct 9th!

Ok the Jags have a couple of players hurt, and one of our key plays donovan darius is hurt but expected to be back by week 5 according to the home town sports reporter, but hey one guy doesn't make up the defense, have we forgot the Jags D-line? Still a tough team!!!! lets all have a drink to a wonderful start thus far!!!!

Is anyone planning on going to the bengal game in Jacksonville? I have a post on bengals.com and have gotten a lot of responses of people that are going. I have 30 tickets for the game and know of more people that are going. We need to get everyone in the same parking lot so we can show Jacksonville and ESPN how the orange and black tailgaite.

WHO DEY TO THE ORANGE AND BLACK

It will be a very good game. The Jags have had some injuries lately that could hurt them, which helps the Bengals out. I'm concerned about the Bengals stopping Taylor though.

In a sarcastic tone: Hahah now that the Bears Bengals game is over only in the first quarter we can start talking about the Jags

(continuing with sacrcasm)

Yeah, I guess we can totally BYPASS the Texans, seeing how they have their BYE week and everything.

We'll handle the jags if we beat the bears, the way i see it.

My fellow season ticket holder is going to that game....16hr drive!!!!!

The Jags are a better team then the Bears, the bears will not give the Bengals a hard time like the Jags will. The bears may be an "easy" game compared to what the Jags will do come week 5, We may have similar styles of play but the Jags pullit off better. Anyways its gonna be an exciting game!!!

I'd agree that your team has a better offense than the Bears, but you're also ranked 13th on overall defense as opposed to 7th for the Bears. We had the number one offense going into this game, and I don't think we did anything to damage that.

Combine those two and imho we should win the game. Good luck till then however. B)

The Bengals O-line handled the Williams twins just fine. I would expect the same effort vs. Henderson and Stroud.

But the Bengals D-line better get more pressure on Carr next week than they did on Orton today because Carr will find open receivers if his crummy O-line holds.

I don't think we have anything to worry about here. That O-line in Houston is more than crummy! I think this could be the game where our currently anemic sack numbers take off and start to balance with the other statistics we've compiled on defense.
