Spain
Did you notice how good our secondary is! Even KK has gotten better (he might be our SS). This group could have three probowlers. Give it up to koyle he has that secondary running like a machine! So how good will this D Be, because they are creating turnovers,
Stripes
Last year's D created turnovers too.I want to stop the run and create turnovers. As of yet, I am very happy.

NahhhIm assuming the three potential probowlers he was referring to would be Deltha, Tory, and Madieu. He never said KK was a probowler... andybren
1. Would it kill you to type out the word 'question'? You don't seem to have a problem with big words like 'secondary'.2. When you phrase your comments like "the real question is..." you suggest that (a) you know something that nobody else does, and (b ) that you're going to ask a non-rhetorical question. You're like Chris Farley on that old SNL sketch: "Remember back when you were in the Beatles? That was cool."3. The secondary has done well against average competition. Had they played against the Colts or the Raiders, then we'd have a better idea of just how good they are. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy. But Madieu's the only stud in our secondary. Tory and Deltha are above-average players doing their jobs; KK is strictly average, but capable of brillance every once in the while. Tory and Deltha are above-average players doing their jobs; KK is strictly average, but capable of brillance every once in the while.I hate to break it to you, but Madieu isn't playing as well as Tory James and Deltha O'Neil. You can say all you want that they are above average, but they aren't just "above average" this year. Their play thusfar this season is OUTSTANDING. Deltha O'Neil leads the league in interceptions. That's pro-bowl. Tory James made it to the pro-bowl last year by doing the same thing, being above average and making big plays. Being in the right place at the right time, having good vision, and making plays on the ball. That's pro-bowl.Are they the most athletic, physically gifted corners in the league, no. Intelligent? Possibly. As for KK, talk bad about you all you want, but he makes tackles, AND he makes plays on the ball because he is smart, and has good vision. turningpoint
Will never happen, No way james and Oneal make the probowl..if they get 10ints each maybe, but then it would still be tough call.like mcalister and Bailer in the AFC we don't have much of a s**t.I'd be happy with one of em....they probably both make the trip anyways who ever makes it will probably pay for the other and family to make the trip. Spain
Thats the best secondary is the best Ive ever seen. Ive been watching for 20 years! You guys just dont want to realize it! Dont worry we will all have a laugh, and your going to be glad to be wrong! (as I am on so many ocasions!) bengalindian
Just because Madieu doesn't have the picks does not mean he's not the stud in the secondary. He's everywhere, as is Thurman, and has made some big tackles, even if he doesn't have the picks that Deltha does. He is indeed the stud, but I just don't think, as of now, that enough people know about him for him to go to the pro bowl. However, things could change... Spain
Watch , Indian these guys are students of the game.(Tory,Deltha) they are watching tape on their time off! They are going to explode. When the pass rush comes its all over(thank you water boy)
bengalindian
Oh yeah, I didn't mean to take anything away from Deltha and Tory, because they are sweet and are only getting better. But as far as a ballhawk and playmaker, Madieu is the man. He is in on every play, no matter where on the field it is.
Lita
Your boobies are freakin great as well. Keep em coming Ox.Men. Anyway, I don't know if I think our secondary is so great. It's hard to say that Deltha and Madeiu aren't good, and Tory made the pro-bowl last season.. but... how many messy QBs have been throwing at them? Anyway, I don't know if I think our secondary is so great. It's hard to say that Deltha and Madeiu aren't good, and Tory made the pro-bowl last season.. but... how many messy QBs have been throwing at them? That's a good point. It's kind of a chicken/egg thing though - Dilfer's looked good in other games, Culpepper looked fantastic this week - so it's tough to tell this early whether they're bad, or whether the Bengals make them look bad I do think that both Tory and Deltha could make it - if they get the numbers high enough - but Madieu won't have that sort of interception total. Safeties typically make the Pro Bowl from Sportscenter hits, and the Bengals aren't on TV on prime time enough yet for him to get that kind of exposure. In a couple of years, Madieu might be making the hits and being seen doing it enough to make the Pro Bowl, but not this year. redsfan2
Well .... Dilfer won a Super Bowl and Culpepper is hyped as a pro bowler whose team was tagged to go to the Super Bowl this year, so both of them have pretty good credentials. Orton is a newbie, but he lit up the Lions the week before we played them. I think it would be equally as easy to say that the secondary is making good qb's look bad. It's a matter of coaching as well ... and we're fortunate to have some of the better ones around at their positions. Enjoy the wins ...... they've been a long time coming, and it won't last forever. We're bound to lose one sooner or later.Just one tho
andybren
Eat it fellows, you said it! Now eat it!Did they announce the Pro Bowl already? Otherwise, I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be eating. The only that happened since my previous post was that we embarrassed a rookie QB who was way out of his element. Five interceptions is an amazing thing, but it hardly proves that we have the best secondary ever. Isn't the real ? that maybe the bad quarterbacking by Culpepper and Orton was responsible for at least some of those interceptions? How about we 'eat it' on November 20 when we take 2 or more picks off of Peyton Manning.
