Dude, you ripped the guy off. You got the league's future MVP in '05 only gave up Culpepper? You're a genius.
Sox
For those that like to know what the QB's rating is...just use this handy little QB calculator. http://www.primecomputing.com/
JPW
First off the Rating Formula is biased toward QBs who throw a lot of high percentage passes. Plus there in no accounting for total passing yards and no penalty for a QB who throws very few passes. It is really a QB Efficiency rating and not a rating of a QB's overall passing production.I look at it as being kind of like the Y/C stat for a RB, which really has to be looked at in light of the RB's total yards.IMO, the QB rating has to be looked at in the light of the QB's overall stats to really be meaningful.Nevertheless, Carson Palmer is off to one FINE start this season, no matter how you add it up ! Stripes
If the MVP were chosen tomorrow, then the top three would probably be Donovan McNabb, Carson Palmer, and Willie Parker.

Stripes
Hey who won the espn award? was it carson>? McNabb finished with over 60 percent of the vote, and Palmer was a distant second place with 20 plus percent. Everyone else was far behind them both. walshfan
Here's my formulaI take yards per attempt and multply times 10...Add 5 points every TDAdd 5 points for 60% completion ( 5 more every 5 more percent)subtract 5 points per interceptionsubtract 5 points for being under 55% ( 5 more every 5 percent under)Using my formula Palmer would have a rating today of 27-40 337yrds 62.5% 8.4 per attempt, 3tds 1 int 8.45 per attempt eqauates to 84.562.5% add 5pts 5.03 tds add 15pts 15.01 int deduct 5 pts -5total rating 99.5basic barometer i can do in my head during a game..the yards per attempt is the backbone of a passing rating.....
