Dadraftnick Posted September 11, 2005 Report Posted September 11, 2005 I thought the new thinner faster Jeremi Johnson looked in pre season I would have liked to have seen him get a few carries, he reminds me of Icky.I did not see Perry much even when Rudi looked winded.Where was the Pollack ??If Pollack played much I must have missed it if he made any plays. I expected to see 3 or 4 sacks against a team like Cleveland.Anyway, I am happy with the win. We kep them to under 100 yards rushing. They only scored 13.The defence played fast got turnovers. The offence played ran the ball and passed the ball at will.A good performance against Cleveland in Cleveland.Any win on the raod is a good win.An opening day win! Teams that win their opener have a much higher % to make the playoffs.Detroit here we come! Quote
andybren Posted September 11, 2005 Report Posted September 11, 2005 I thought the same way about Pollack, but then checked the stats. He was second in tackles with 6, all solo. Meanwhile, starter Landon had 1 tackle, 0 solo. Quote
Stripes Posted September 11, 2005 Report Posted September 11, 2005 Pollack was in the game quite a bit actually, he was second on the team in tackles with six. The announcers didn't credit him often when he made plays, but for no other reason than being busy discussing something else at the moment. Quote
skyline Posted September 11, 2005 Report Posted September 11, 2005 I want to know why Chris Henry was inactive... Quote
HairOnFire Posted September 11, 2005 Report Posted September 11, 2005 I wanted to see more of.....Kevin Walter. Hey, I told you guys I'd give him credit if he showed me something as a WR. That he did. Quote
membengal Posted September 11, 2005 Report Posted September 11, 2005 I want to know why Chris Henry was inactive... See Hair's post above...Walter getting some run.Henry has to beat out Washington to dress on gamedays. Quote

Yeah your right I would have liked to have seen more of him too.I guess there is only one ball but I think so little of Perry puzzles me most.He was a 1st round pick.He has looked damn good in preseason.Maybe they were afraid of a rookie mistake. andybren Posted September 11, 2005 Report Posted September 11, 2005 I think Walter got a fair amount of looks considering he's #3 or #4. And in case anybody was wondering what I meant when I said KDub didn't capitalize on the opportunity he had last year, see Walter's YAC on the TD play. Quote

I thought Perry good a good amount of playing time. He had 5 runs and 5 catches, which i would say is a fair amount of time for a 3rd down back (which he is until he proves he can be an every down back - i am not trying to start an argument). Perry did not run well the 1st series, and overal he ran 5 times for 11 yards with a long of 5. His receptions were good with 5 for 37 yards. These numbers are pretty good, but Rudi was good today.Vote for Rudi for Sunday Stud on ESPN.com. Quote
CantStop85 Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 I saw enough of Perry...5 carries and 5 catches is plenty for a backup running back. He had some nice catches, but he showed very little on his 5 carries. I'll stick with Rudi.I do want to see more of Kevin Walter and I would like to see Chris Henry dressing over Kelley Washington. I want to see Pollack starting over Landon Johnson very soon. Quote
