HoosierCat
Like they say, "any given Sunday."or"That's why they play the games."And today's non-Bengals props, IMHO, go to......the New Orleans Saints.

Stripes
I picked St. Louis for my survivor league I would've done the same thing. Biggest upset of the week no doubt.
DC_Bengals_Fan
I picked St. Louis for my survivor league I would've done the same thing. Biggest upset of the week no doubt. Can't wait to see Martz get canned after the season - if this game is any indication - as I've never liked that guy. rizzy
All the upsets, etc etc etc, just confirms what we all all ready know: the pre season tells you nothing and I mean zilch about how a team will be in the regular season. No doubt about it. Stupid Pittsburgh had absolutely NO problem destroying Tennessee... I expected at least some early struggles, but I guess when you can manage to control a game with 80% running plays and 20% passing plays, then Big Ben has no space to start a sophmore slump.41 freaking running plays, and a third string back accumulating more than 200 total yards.Yes, it was the Titans, but I think we've found for sure our primary rival in the divsion. San Antonio Bengal
Indy is up 10 - 0 in the third. This feels so weird (but good) to be thinking about standings when the first week of play isn't completed yet. :player:
redsfan2
Starting the 4th qtr in B'more and it's now up to 17 to 0 ........ and Boller is out. Sorry to say ... but it doesn't look good for him either. No report on the injury yet, but he had to be helped off the field with his shoe off. PS ... Manning looks like he's playing catch. Ravens gave it all they had for 3 qtrs and it just wasn't enough .... so far. Fat lady ain't singing yet tho
HoosierCat
All I know is that I hope the Ravens offense is really, really, really bad.Because if Indy's D is anywhere near as good as it looked tonight, the NFL may as well ship the damn trophy to 'em right now... First games are always hard to read. First game of the season lat year ?? year before ?? Buffalo handed the Patriots ass to them. Didn't quite go that way the rest of the season tho.Tell you the truth, this game reminded me of the Bengals game at the Ravens last year. Our defense was just enough to keep us in the game against their offense .. till our offense was finally able to wear down their defense and put some points on the board. WhackThePack
Yeah there were some surprises this week...who would have thought Tim Rattay and Gus Frerotte would have been two of the top fantasy QBs! I also liked seeing that Saints win...good stuff.

AMC
The Packers laid the biggest egg IMO....and javon walker threatened to hold out and then gets hurt....so much for that...and I am still waiting for the Lion's best 3 WR trio in the NFL to show up....overrated....same for the cardinals.... redsbengalsbucks
IMO the Browns were quite impressive also, they gave the Bengals everything we could handle till late in the third quarter. I think 1 amybe two good drafts and they will be tough. 2007 the AFCN will be dominated by OHIO.

CBin2k7
Week 1 tells us one thing. The NFC west and NFC north are terrible. The NFC is not a very good conference and it is not very deep. The AFC is very deep and it will be a minefield.
Stripes
Fanbases I would love to make fun of after week one (but I won't, I'm no troll):Arizona Cardinals - During the offseason plenty of Cardinal fans infiltrated Bengals boards and began to muse at their being a playoff contender and leaving the Bengals in the cellar.Week One Result: Giants 42 Cardinals 19St. Louis Rams - Many of their fans have been boasting their team to be the best team in the NFL just waiting to explode in 2005.Week One Result: 49ers 28 Rams 25Minnesota Vikings - My reasons here are unfair, but oh well. You may or may not have seen the recent Bengalszone Vikings troll, and...well...he sucked.Week One Result: Buccaneers 24 Vikings 13*Please not that I realize most fanst of the above teams are not derserving of this treatment, and that I am KIDDING. Sheesh.
