ESPN Bashes Bengals changing White Uni Stripe

As if the Bengals didn't have enough problems, that stupid white side panel on their jerseys is now extending even higher -- but only for some players. So now the team not only looks like crap, but it looks inconsistent to boot. Most aesthetically impaired franchise in pro sports, hands down.

I love the Bengals jerseys.

The one thing that bothered me when I first saw the new unis was the white part at the top of the pants...I'd rather it be orange and black all the way up.

It looks like the white stripe is different because of the size of the jersey. Small guys have more white that extends up. On the big guys it is black.

Because these analysts hate change. Every new uniform gets bashed for a few years before they realize they dont look nearly as bad as they have been claiming they do, but by then some other team has changed their uni, so they move on to bashing them.

I wanna know what our "enough problems" are (besides the D...cant think of anything else). I cant believe that someone even cared to notice the white side-panels were extended up a bit. who gives a sh*T!? jesus!! come on!! Should the Jets be blasted cuz they changed the armpit area of the jersey?? Anyway, I live in New York and I was reading the NY Post and they predicted our division to look like this:

Ravens

Steelers

Bengals

Browns

As crazy as that mite seem, they also predicted for us to walk away with 7-9 record...I was fine knowing that ppl are still gonna be retarded but then, i saw the prediction for the NY giants was for them to go 9-7 and i went crazy go nuts!! I figured it was cuz its a NY paper but then i read the comments for the teams. They basically said that CJ guaranteed the playoffs but he's no Joe Namath and NEITHER is Carson Palmer (didnt know if that was a compliment or insult when considering the "Can i kiss ya" incident). By Eli "Monotone" Manning, they only had praises for him. I think i'm gonna pack my bags and head to the holy land of Cincinnati....SCREW THEM!! WHO-DEY!!!!

True that. They want everything to be throwback. I think the Bengals unis are one of the most modern looking and I like that.

I wouldn't mind seeing more of the big "B" on the uni or on the helmet...I really like that.

Sorry, guys, maybe I'm just old school or something, but I hate our uniforms. Home, road, all-black, doesn't matter which ones; they're all ugly. I'm not suggesting we go back to 1975, but I sure would like to see something a little more traditional looking. And I know I'm in the minority, so need to rip me.

I love the uniforms as well. Up close, looking at individual players, yes they can look tacky. To see them all on the field at once is a different story.

I'm with you there, the flamboyant stripes I think have made the Bengals the reigning favorites in gay sports bars across America on Sundays.

Sorry folks but I've never liked the stripes, ever. That said the new uni's are light years ahead of the cheap looking discount sports store uni's the Bengals have been wearing since 80.

You can still be a huge fan and not like the uni's. I also would prefer something more traditional. No need for the flashy, colorful Richard Simmons' look, this is football not a fashion show.

I am suprised the NFL let this uni change go through, they are really picky about that.

That said I also hate the Broncos, Pats, and Bucs new uni's - waaaay over the line with their changes. Updates are fine, completely changing colors and uni logos is another thing.

I don't care what uniform they have, just as long as they keep this helmet. It has become so cliche to have a letter or animal or logo on your helmet that it becomes boring. I love the Bengals' helmets.

I'm always for moving everything forward. Including uniforms and logos, which reminds me. The tiger head is one of the best logos in the NFL.

Us and the Seattle Seahawks and the Atlanta Falcons have the best unis in the league. Newer numbers, cooler colors and the all one color uni (our all black, seattles all metallic blue) is really cool.

As long as we don't go back to the color coated pants of the AFL, I'll be a happy camper.

I like the changes being made and God knows the Bucs needed it badly. I've always followed the Bucs and must say, the uniforms were hideous. i think the new ones are sweet !!!
