Stripes Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 I think chad is due a huge game...2 rookies starting at safety i believe is really going to spell doom for them. Historically, Chad has started each of his seasons rather slow. This may be a great way to set him off early en route to a huge year. Here's to hopin'! Quote

HoTbOy Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 I'm looking forward to seeing Chris Perry play this year... I think he is going to be our B. Westbrook.. Quote
John Stofa Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 I agree about Chad having a big day. In fact, I think it could be a big day for our passing game overall, and I'm hoping my boy Chris Henry is a part of that. I'm going to go ahead and predict right here that Henry catches a TD pass in his first official NFL game ... one of many he'll haul in during his long Bengals career. He's going to be a star. Quote
bengalfreek Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 Here's hoping Cleveland's passing game doesn't have a big day. Quote
Ox Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 Here's hoping Cleveland's passing game doesn't have a big day. Don't worry, Garthia isn't here anymore to drop bombs on us. Quote
redsfan2 Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 I'm looking forward to seeing Chris Perry play this year... I think he is going to be our B. Westbrook.. I was kind of lukewarm on this pick ....... and then when he didn't play last year it kind of reaffirmed my suspicions. I tell you though ... after seeing what he's done in this pre season I have to take it all back. I think this young guy is going to allow the offense to do things they just haven't been able to do for the last several years.I can't wait to see him in a real game as well ....... Everybody is expecting CJ to have a big day ( and he could ) ...... I think it's this young guy that is going to have the Browns running for the Pepto. Quote
TippCityRick Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 Chad will be fine, but I look for the Clowns to double him for much of the game and make us beat them another way. Good thing we have MANY other weapons. I look for TJ to draw safety coverage in the slot and there's no way the'll keep up with him inside. Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 I look for Chad to have a good game, but if indeed Baxter doesn't play, they can TRY to double him all they want. If they do, it will just give more room for our other guys, TJ, Henry, Washington, Jeremy, Rudi and Chris Perry to operate.Look for Rudi and Chris to combine for close to 250 yards! Quote

Chad will have a decent game. Similar to last years opener (99 yds and a TD-ish) I think Rudi will be the key though. Their whole defense is a mismatch for our running game. We'll keep throwing the ball... but if we get a decent lead, we will just keep running the ball all day long. Quote
Jonboat Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 As long as he catches the ball Chad has had some great games in the past vs. the Clowns & would've had a good game pepto week if it wasn't for the drops. I think they need to spread the ball around . He will get open & have his share of catches just don't force it, be patient & take what they give us. Chad will have a great game. GO BENGALS!!! BengalByTheBay Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 I think what they ought to do is come out with a couple of screens and short crossing routes while CJ plays decoy on the post. The clowns will be way fired up and the line will be pressing forward -- I think a couple of screens in the first 1/4 to Perry (or Watson) would shred them for very big yards. I think what they will do (and I think the clowns think so as well) is run the ball on 1st and second down and then throw a sideline fly to CJ. Having watched the preseason games isn't this what everyone would expect. That's why I think any short pass over the middle would be easy, unexpected and hugely successful. We shall see.... Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 I think we should confuse the hell out of the Browns and start Chris Perry for the first drive, and then switch back to Rudi after they give up their game plan Quote
turningpoint Posted September 7, 2005 Author Report Posted September 7, 2005 lol rudi will be starting no matter what. Quote
