walshfan Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 Im not one to go to sports bars on gameday.. I llike the friendly confines of my living room with the fridge nearby and me right in front of the tube in my recliner..How about you guys?/ How do you usually spend Sunday watching the Bengals? Quote
BengalByTheBay Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 Used to do the sportsbar thing. Being in Cali it was the only way to see the Bengals. Since obtaining DTV and the ticket, however, the best seat in town is on my couch. I figure it's financially close to a wash in the long run being that 1 game tends to equate to at least 4 purchased beers. Looking forward to this season whose 2005 yearbook title will eventually be "Return to Glory". Quote
clevelandbengal Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 I am not a sportsbar guy either, but this year I will have to. I much prefer to watch in the peace and quiet of my house. I think that I will only be able to watch 5 games at my house because the Browns and Bengals pretty much play at the same time almost every game. Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 I watch them at home. Why you ask? Because then noone looksat me funny when I get PO'd or excited after a play. Quote
The Big Orange Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 9 feet from my 36 inch...all 3 kids and wife around me so they can join in the "RUDI" chorus...NFL Ticket and TIVO roaring for future piracy...6 foot mexican bullwhip in hand that I bought for my 5 year old on a missions trip (he's got a violent streak-too much Halo) so I can snap any kid on the ear from my butt-wedged couch position should they be speaking and I can't hear the commentary...Diet Coke, since I think that a lack of calories actualy helps eat away fat. I know that feeling believe me!!! There is a sports bar close by that seems to have the ideal setting for a football game .. Its called Cadillac Jack's.. very upbeat and laid out setting....dont know if its a national chain or not but Id go there if I couldnt watch the game at home....BTW, what do a bengal fan and a pastor have in common?? They both hollar Jesus Christ allot on sundays!! Quote
Section 310 Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 I hate watching the Bengals at a sports bar. I like to be able to hear the call and the commentary...unless it is Don Crique or Beasley Reece. I watch at home and exhaust nervous energy by ironing, buffing shoes, etc. Quote
Sox Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 Road games-my house,or a sports bar if the stains game is being shown.Home games, section 335. Quote
HairOnFire Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 I used to do the sportsbar thing but too often that meant watching the game without being able to hear the action. For a Bengal fan living in SoCal, where the threat of blackout doesn't exist, having NFL PrimeTicket is pure heaven...so it's the couch for me. Quote
thefrazz Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 I will either watch the games at home, or a friends house when there is a specific party going on...when I go to a sports bar, I usually head to Tickets in Convington. Nice projection plasma's, good beer, good crowd and good wings. Quote
Stripes Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 Being fortunate enough to live as close as Dayton, I stay home and watch the games. I don't like having people all around me shouting and spitting hot wing bits on my back as they complain about the refs or the playcalling. Quote

redsbengalsbucks Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 DTV direct ticket is great. Watch the games at home with my wife, she keeps me from getting to irate, on the big screen. Quote

Bay Area Bengals Fan Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 Since I live in northern California, and do not have DTV, I go to my favorite sports bar to watch the games. Quote
BengalPappaw Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 I am very fortunate to be able to watch the game on my 65" HDTV in my rec room --- it's GREAT!!! Quote
WhoDey_Oggy Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 Mostly at home... occainsly ill go to BW3's or Willie's. I like it there because you can play triva games during commercials Quote
Irish Bengal Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 At home on my 65" HD or at my friend's on his 100" projection while playing pool. Quote
BengalNation1281 Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 Hoot's Pub2424 HobbsAmarillo, TXBest sports bar in town. Quote
boomerman Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 I'm in the same boat as ClevelandBengal. I'll go to the game on Sunday (can't wait!) After that, it's the sportsbar scene. Worst case scenario, I'll listen to the game on the radio, wait a few days to get my game DVD from my NEW BEST FRIEND AND HERO, Big O, then watch it. BTW, If the Bengals would happen to loose, I might just go 4 wheeling on the bottom of Lake Erie with my Jeep. I was at that fiasco in Cleve last year, and Gus Frerotte's infamous left handed interception a few years ago. I can only take so much!!! Quote
bengalsrz Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 TV if possible (i live in VA)usually i just have to listen to it onine Quote
turningpoint Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 IN section 124 when they're at home, and on my hidef tv when they're on the road. Quote
Ox Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 I listen on Sirius if I am on the road, which I usually am till 1:30 on sundays. Then the butt is planted in front of the new high-def. First season with HD, is it everything that I've heard it to be? I hear it will make a grown man cry the clarity is so unreal. Quote
