Indycat Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 Moore and Bramlet both surprised me. Quote
AMC Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 Lewis must really like Askew.... I don't know.... Quote
StripesNTn Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 Moore, Pdub i knew was coming. Bramlet, well figured this one to. Krenzel may not be the most athletic QB ever to play the game, but he is smart and knows how to win. In the horrible event our first two go down, wouldn't you like someone who has not only started nfl games but won them? Quote
DontPushMe Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 I cant believe anyone was actually suprised by Moore being cut. He was garbage last year. He had a few plays, played a bit better than he may of been expected to, but the guy just flat out wasn't a good player. The only surprise is Bramlet, and maybe Brandon Williams.I love it how people say "krenzel knows how to win" as if any of his 3 wins in Chicago had anything to do with his play. He did everything in his power to lose those games, they won them despite him, not because of him. Quote

The_Next_Big_Thing Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 Moore really surprised me. Bramlet surprised me a bit, but 3rd stringer really doesn't matter. If we are past Kitna and Palmer we are SCREWED. Quote

It's the ol' literary Twain put down. This could get ugly. Next it'll be the Churchillian retort of " ..... all we need to do is establish your price. ". And then the gloves'll really come off. It'll go from quoting writers & political figures to poets ... philosophers .... and next thing ya know ....... it'll be in LATIN ! Caveat Emptor !Watch it TJ ...... derekshank Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 Well, some are more surprising than others... and while I can't used the word "surprised", I can officially say that I don't like the move to cut Warrick.I understand $2.2 mil isn't really worth a #4 WR, and if he isn't healthy, that is the best he is. But there is still the outside chance he could get healthy before the end of the year... and it's not exactly as if we don't have the cap room to spare. On the other hand... if they manage to make some type of miracle move to better the defense, I will quickly change my mind, but the chances of that happening are becoming increasingly unlikely. I think PW isn't healthy and won't be this year or else Marvin wouldn't have cut him because he knows what a healthy PDub can do.. Quote
HoosierCat Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 Uh Oh! ...... It's the ol' literary Twain put down. Ah, ya gotta love Sam C. Nobody laid down the smack quite like him. What was it he said about Cincy? Something to the effect that if the world were ending, he'd go to Cincinnati, because everything happens 10 years later there? Quote

I think Mikey might have made some subtle suggestions that he'd rather pocket that $2.2MIf we end up this season $6M under the cap, I'm gonna be pissed. At least redo a deal or something. Quote
jbx182 Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 i thought bramlet had a future as #2. krenzel may have a nice head, but his arm sucks! Quote
AMC Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 warrick's contract in seattle has alot of playing time/number of catches incentives....even they know he's hurt....i think the decision on PW came directly from Lewis....not Brown...i think brown is in Lewis' hip pocket...and that is a wonderful thing... Bengals_12th_man Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 Bramlet by far. But I suppose its not only about good throws but about good reads too...I wasnt that surprised about Moore though. He had good penetration now and then, but he also got pushed around from time to time, and wasnt the best tackler imo. Askew looked very good in the game. Man that guys got great instincts and reaction to the snap count. Quote
