I don't know if they will rally to a playoff berth, but I thought they were a playoff contender before the hurricane. It will be interesting to see how they play, I can imagine a fast start. In the NFC, 9-7 will make the playoffs, and this event may be able to push them there.

They're always good on paper, but their defense always underperforms, and Aaron Brooks is a moron - always finds ways to throw balls to the defense. As long as Haslett's coaching, guess how good you think they should be, then subtract 2-3 wins. Like last year they looked like an 11-5 team in the NFC south, but ended up out of the playoffs.

Hate to dog Haslett, but that team is a bunch of chronic underachievers. I still can't believe he got a contract extension. But you're right, the NFC sends 6 teams to the playoffs no matter how bad it is, and someone has to go.

Let me add I just heard on the news that Tagliabue has said it's unlikely any Saint's games will be played in New Orleans this season.

every game will be a road game. that's gonna have to wear the team down. but at least it'll end the same way every other saint's season ends down there.
