HELLO!?!?! This guy is just plain STUPID...

"4. Cleveland (4-12)

Mitigating Factors: Rushing game produced NFL-worst six TD’s in 2004…Rest of offense not much better, mustering only 29, second-worst in AFC…Scored 99 points lasts six weeks of season, 48 of them in Week 11 loss to dreaded Bengals…Opponents started drives in Browns territory league-leading 38 times in 2004…Demoralizing season-ending win at Houston killed opportunity for momentum-building 10-game losing streak…

Light At The End Of The Tunnel: Browns are hearty 9-23 since making playoffs after 2002 season.

Opening Loss: Cincinnati

5. Cincinnati (8-8)

Mitigating Factors: .500 seasons do not usually excite B-10 pollsters, but these are the Bengals we’re talking about…Team has not been to playoffs in an NFL-worst 14 years…Bengals also lead NFL by not having shutout an opponent since 1989…Team has won at least 10 games in a season just six (6) times since 1968, while four (4) or fewer games 13 (13) times…Hard to believe team has played in two Super Bowls…They lost both of them, of course.

Gut-Check Time: 2005 considered make-or-break season, as consecutive, exciting 1-4 starts have been eclipsed by consecutive 7-4 finishes, taking Bengals out of title contention last two years.

Opening Loss: at Cleveland"

So, let me get this straight. Cincinnati is going to start the season with a loss to Cleveland, who is going to start the season with a loss to Cincinnati. Hrmn... makes a lot of sense.

Real intellectual system they've got there.

Seems like they've really done their research

Also, maybe I'm just missing something, but did they actually predict Cincinnati and Cleveland to BOTH lose in week 1?

That site looks like it was put together in 5 minutes. I will not take anything on that site into consideration. The writer is an idiot too. I don't think I would consider that site a credible information source.

The Bottom Ten

The Bengals are ranked in the Bottom Ten! I am not making that up!

Click on the above to read it. Cleveland is ranked higher!

BT

For what it's worth, this was a reverse rank, so he actually has Cincinnati ranked as better than Cleveland.

That said, his rankings include the "Hamilton Tiger Cats" and "NFC West." His ranking for the Bengals was based entirely on their reputation over the last 20 years, (same for Arizona) with basically no analysis whatsoever. His ranking for the Chargers is based on the amazing observation that they don't usually win in back-to-back seasons.

He also has Arizona, Oakland, and San Dieo (!) ranked in the bottom 10. No Dolphins, no Titans, no Texans, no Giants, no Redskins, no Cowboys...etc.

So I'm pretty sure this guy's a dumbass. Let's not get our panties bunched, eh?

The guy that posted this article just signed up today and his only post is that. I am thinkin he is a writer at that site or works for it and he is trying to get more traffic to the site.

And it worked...

Yes it did work, but now that I went there I will never return to that website again in my life.

Hey guys, I think he got it mixed up....

He doesn't mean they'll both LOSE, he just means the game will end in a draw.

You see, then that means BOTH teams FAILED to win.

Get it?

Well, if there were two teams in the NFL that could manage to come out as losers when they play each other it would be Cincy and Cleveland.

I imagine the assumption was that it will be such an ugly game that for the sake of the reputation of the league, Tagliabue would award them both with losses.

Either that, or the saying "anyone can make a website" just gained a whole lot of credence.

Wow.. I never want to read anything like that ever again.
