The masses cheer, painted in stripes

over a decade, but still we fight

those obvious demons that plague our love

watch the usual, don't even shrug

Loyalty never been a concern

love our Bengals till we we ash in an Urn

but eventually the old man ask

where is my winner, passes the flask

for over a decade we huddled and prayed

that a coaches brilliance, hide our owners stupiful gaze

the man on the top looks out from the glass

now sees a packed stadium, like a christmas mass

registers are clinging, the outfits adorned

pay checks are dwindling, but none of us mourn

this is the year, we shout and sing

my kids don't have new shoes, but I'll get my ring

the messiah stands with his half resurrection

vulnerable by a failure of money, where's his protection

from the usual past that haunts these halls

he's changed everything within these walls

but still above him sits the man

striving he says, doing all I can

the children tucked in, empty boxes under the tree

painted faces, empty pockets shout with glee

run it like a business they say, don't overpay

......Well get to the playoffs you'll see.... Someday

You`re half right...he is a Motherf'er. :D

Just kidding...he has been putting all of his eggs

into a DT`s basket. He wants to lay all of the blame

for it not happening on to Mike Brown`s lap though.

If that`s the case then Marvin isn`t a "BlackJesus"...

He`s a puppet.

And I don`t think Marvin is a puppet.

Anyway BJ...Rick said you`d get an A+ in his writting class.

He teaches 5th graders though...

Mike Brown= a man who took a team from the Most brilliant mind football has ever known, who had just been in 20 % of the Superbowls in the 1980's despite being a small market, and has enacted a 15 year inquisition on the football hearts of an entire city.... leaving only the so called "Mike Brown sucks crowd" (those who are tired of filling his coffers until they see a game in january), or the "Homers" (those that would would stand next to Mikey while he pissed on their leg and told them it was raining)

= I am still a die hard Bengals fan , and I still worship at the Marvin lewis altar and want nothing more than Bengals games in December that mean something.... My rose colored glasses have just fell off for a time.... (they may go right back on again). I now just know that if we are going to get there it will be because we have the NFL's best coach....... and not because we bought him any outside talent whatsoever. Once Marvin takes us to the playoffs this year, (which I think he can) it will only make him more of a God because he did it with a JV Defense.

No Marvin is a BlackJesus.... but he can't resurrect because his owner won't even buy the wood for the cross <_<

You as much as anyone should know that is a bunch

of bulls**t.

Mike Brown has opened his purse strings for Marvin

every time he has asked. And if Marvin thought that Corey Simon

or any other Free Agent was worth throwing the cash at

then it would be thrown !

And Dave Shula carried the cross so Marvin

could do the resurrecting !
