Spain
I think the whole Warrik thing has alot to do with a deal with Simon! If we see JT cut count on the deal being done! JT wasnt on the verge of s**te and he got a big contract. Im thinking Marvins going for Simon!
derekshank
Doubtful... besides, I heard on ESPNews today that Saban is reportedly trying to free up a lot of cap space to get the deal done for Simon. Simon wants the big money... something that the Bengals are in the habit of refusing to do for free agents, so I wouldn't count on the Bengals winning on the Simon auction. I just hope he ends up in Miami, and not Baltimore.Besides, it seems clear that the Bengals have a much deeper issue at S right now than at DT. whatever you think about Robinson, Thornton and Moore, they are at least "serviceable" which is more than we can say about our safety depth. schnarfer
There is no room for Simon right now. JT would never be cut now and adding Simon would kill our cap next season...The more that I think about it I see the clear picture that Corey Simon is not going to be a Bengals this season
Spain
Who in their right mind would go Miami? Marvin has a history with DTs . Ju t call it a hunch! I think he is coming! If I was Simon I would come here! This could get us in the playoffs and Marvin knows this D needs a jolt of talent on the D line! Smith Simon Robinson Geathers/Pollak That would be one of the best front fours in the leauge! Looks to good!

If Simon was truly concerned about being on a winning team, or the best DT he could be, he would have stayed with the Eagles. That said... say what you want about Smith, Robinson and Geathers... they are not nearly as good as Jason Taylor, Keith Traylor, and Kevin Carter. That would be by far the best front 4 in football. I see Simon going there... for the money, and to be on a much better defense.

derekshank
Good Point but Playas dont want to go the nfls new perenial loser.IMHO Yeah, why go to football's new perennial loser, when you could go to football's old perennial loser. We've been doing it since the Dolphins were in diapers! We have it down to a science. Why go and do it half-assed in Florida, you know? Spain
Now that was negativity derek! We are on the rise everyone knows it. We would be a very good fit for him. My god Miamis going to rotate QBS. They are screwed!

TJJackson
*shrug* 2.5 mil is a lot of cap room, there's always a chance he'd want to play for Marvin again and/or be in a situation where he's the top dog talent and rep wise....I don't see Simon in stripes unles she takes a LOT less than he asked the Eagles for, say 2.5 mil or less a year, but it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility at this point...... bengalindian
First off, stop ripping on Spain, it's not his fault he doesn't know anything about anything. Just playin. I'm almost 100% sure that Marvin will not bring Simon in and cut JT, because it's too late to do an overhaul like that. Furthermore, Miami's NOT going to be a perennial losing team because they have almost all the components they need to get back on track except for an amazing offense. They just need a QB, and they will get that next year, and by '07, this team will be competing for a playoff spot again. Simon, hell, anyone that plays in the NFL, knows something like that more than we could ever know. And I agree, I would definitely rather see Simon in South Florida than in Jail City. Spain
kudos TJ you can think! We were willing to trade for him! What makes you think we arent very interested. He turned down the Rat birds and that leaves us Miami(lucky to win a game) and washington(Who gives bigger contracts but sucks) I think we finally win one here. Thank god I want playoffs! PS Simon is using Miami to drive up his contract oldest trick in the book! How many times it happen to us! PS That sounds like us in the past Indian! They have QB problems goodbye! I agree with giving the P something to think about.
Spain
Im thinking this is Herring that is going, to make room! KK can hold down one safety spot, hell he might finally be good! Marvin hates injured playas well herring aint playing alot. He might get trimed to fit Simon in! ChopChop, Bye herring!
The_Next_Big_Thing
How many times, in how many threads do you have to see MARVIN LEWIS IS NOT GOING TO LET MIKE BROWN PAY COREY SIMON OVER FIVE MILLION DOLLARS A YEAR TO PLAY HERE!!!!! NOT EVEN IF ALVIN AND THEODORE COME WITH HIM!
Dadraftnick
Watching ESPN they listed 5 or 6 teams that Simon might go to, the Bengals were NOT one of them. That tells me that Simon is not even thinking about going to the Bengals. He will do what all quality free agents do ,use the Bengals to get his price up and go some where else. The Bengals have never landed a quality free agent and I dont see things changing anytime soon.Mike Brown is still breathing, isn't he?The only chance I see of them getting Simon is if he wants go to the Bengals to get a big signing bonus give it half speed half try, basically take a year or two off on the field until Marvin cuts him, pocket the signing bonus, blame the poor play the Bengals and get a new fat contract in a couple of years. As far as T. J. goes he might get cut anyway Simon or not.He looks worse than his rookie year.Kind of like Jeff Blake did as soon as he got his big contract.T.J. might get cut because if you had to list WR's on how they have played this year he would be at the bottom of the list. And,I dont think Marvin plays that $h!T!!!
