bengalskyspy
I though KW looked about the same as last year. Not aweful, but not spectacular either. Frankly, I couldnt see much improvement. Everybody's been talking about what a good camp he is having, but I didnt see it on the field. Once Chris Henry get his jitters out, that is, the fear of getting the soul knocked out of you, he will be a better WR. Kevin Walters also looked good. BlainThePain
I say ship him to Philly, Miami, or Chicago for whatever you can get for him and let him drop passes somewhere else. I think most of his problem is nerves and he could really be special if he would just let go and play football instead of over thinking everything, but I don't think it will happen here. At the very least we have pro bowl caliber recievers in CJ and TJ (yes I think TJ played like a pro bowl reciever in the second half of last year and I think that will continue this year) with a capable backup in Walter, Russel could come in and be worth a reception or two a game, and we have a wild card in Henry. Plus, Warrick could still come back and be a worthy starter for us. Washington still has potential and he has preformed in a backup role so I'd say we could at least get a 4th for him. Maybe we can package Krenzel and Washington in a trade to Chicago now that Grossman is out for a while with a broken ankle.
ShulaSteakhouse
I like Walters, I didn't realize he is 6'3", he's a big dude, and made that nice, tough catch on the slant with someone draped all over him.
Stripes
Walter has always impressed me when he gets the opportunity to play. He's not going to burn anyone deep or make any great catches over the middle, but he does well as a possession receiver, and it seems like he's there to make the catch whenever the ball is thrown his way. I hope they keep him on the team, I think he could contribute in more ways than just special teams.
WhoDeyHomer
Yeah Walter isnt going to wow you, but he seems to give the QB a good window to throw to and hauls it in when it gets there. I think he makes this team and KW gets the axe. KW should obviously be the better reciever he just doesn't seem to get it done. I'm thinking they drop KW to keep Warrick, though that seems snagged on something. They wish KW would step up, but instead they are going to have to wait for Henry to pick it up more. redsbengalsbucks
I think you will be surprised how good of a season that KW has as the #4 WR after Henry. Pdub is gone or he would have been suited up to play in the NE game.1 CJ2 TJ3 Henry4 Washington5 Walter6 Russell or T. PerryThere is no reason to keep Walter Russel and Perry all special teamers. HairOnFire
I have no desire to pound on Walters but somewhere in the old K-Dub/Walterboyz rant you'll find me mocking the fact that all he seems to run is a 7 or 8 yard slant route. So maybe I'll join the crowd and start pimping him the moment he shows me something else. As for K-Dub, my buddy swears the defender made contact with the ball on his drop. I say there was no tip...Washington couldn't get his arms extended in time and the ball got into his shoulder pads. Can't bring myself to be a hater either way. turnip
KW"s drops are frustrating, but he has so much potential and it's only been three years. There's no way we should drop him!
Ickey44
I say, if he sucks again this year then get rid of him. Remember, Jevon Walker didn't did s**t his first two years either.
kingwilly
If P-Dub makes the team and gets back to his old skill level, K-Wash will need to start packing his squirrel luggage. What lowers his value is that he plays NO special teams. Plenty of teams will have interest in him BTW, if a trade could be worked. The drop in the game, may have been tipped, but was also a fireball from Palmer. No excuse, just observation. Walters is no lock either. I said it before but Dugans was a special teams ace, and where is he??? The WR's are deep. Upgrading the talent there may leave even a Walters out in the cold. Kazkal
I doubt Kdub will be cut @ worst traded if we can get a decent pick (atleast 4/5 for him ) He'll do great this year IMO 4 WR set's CJ/tj with mix of Kdub/pdub/henry who has 4 good enough defensive backs to cover those
walshfan
First question is why exactly doesnt KDub play special teams?? Why does he have a free pass? Walter is probably their 5th or 6th option.. Probably around 10 catches or so.Outside of chad, Tj, Henry and Warrrick, I dont think anyone is going to be focusing too much on the 5th and 6th receivers outside of special teams. If thats the case then its between Walter, Russell and Perry ...Kind of leaves Washington out of the picture for now.... ArmyBengal
Washington has SO much potential it's sickening, but he needs to make it happen on the field. Realize the potential, make it happen, and quit being a lazyass !!! He had the opportunity last year with P-Dub down, what the hell was he waiting for ?? Don't get me wrong, I would love nothing more for him to have a break out year, but if not, trade his butt out of here. Oh yeah, there is no way we don't find a way to work Henry into the mix. This is one problem I don't mind having... All the talent at WR !!!WHODEY !!!
