I didn't know if this should go here or General Discussions, but o well...

I just picked up Madden. I've only been playing it for a couple hours, but it is awesome! It is by far the best football game ever made. IMO, everything is perfect in the game (well, except for the Bengals' numbers). Thank you EA for putting the NFL Films music in the game so we don't have to listen to crap that no ones ever heard of. I could listen to NFL Films music all night long! The graphics are awesome the new features are awesome. I wrote more about it in my new SportingBlog if anyone wants to check it out

Have you played 06?? I didn't think it was going to be as good either because they have no competetion. But, play it then you can judge it. It is a sweet game.

Actually I just don't feel like spending $50 on another football game, still playing ESPN 2K5, plus I need a new S-video Xbox cable since the last piece of crap one broke on me.

The passing cones are inconsistent. Some good QBs (like Carson) get screwed while others (Tom Brady) are way too much.

Player numbers are incorrect. There is no excuse for this at all, with the exception of rookies.

I would agree with Carsons passing cone in the game. He was good last year, but still showed some inconsistencies. Which is why is passing cone is not as big as a Tom Brady, Peyton Manning. I think they did well with the passing cones.

When I first heard about the passing cones, I thought it was going to make it too hard to pass in the game. But, the controls are very easy to learn. The precision passing is an awesome addition too.

I haven't played against anyone in person yet (just online). But, when I do, is there a way to lock your vision cone on a reciever without showing your play?

use L2 before the play instead of R2 to change your focus before the play and not show your play. It's significantly harder against another player because they usually rush harder.

Im so sick of all they cry babies about the competition and worng "shaped" numbers.

First of all, ESPN football games were terrible, the graphics were horrible, and it was incredibly too easy, and all 989 sport football games just completely sucked, and i dont want to start there. Stop crying about competion, that is so retarded. Madden has never had any competition it was and still is the only good and fun football game ever made.

Second of all, the numbers are shaped wrong. Woopie Doopie Doo. I guess this game has to suck cuz the numbers don't look the same. I mise well go protest infront of EA demanding the numbers to be fixed or we will boycott the game. Grow up.

On another note, every year in these football games I always find about three unstoppable offensive plays. I play a lot of two player so i don't say anything, am I the only one?

I don't like the QB vision. I turned it off. Other than that, the game rocks!!!! As far as the number thing, the numbers are actually right on the alternate uniforms....

Yeah, I just noticed the alt. jerseys have the right numbers. Why did they make the alts the correct ones?

I like the QB vision. I didn't at first, but I started liking it a lot.

It takes too long to get your vision on the receiver you want. Unless you got Favre or someone who can see the whole field in their cone. You hafta hit R+whatever button for the receiver to lock on, then hit it again to pass. Forget trying to use the R stick to shift it around. I tried it and got sacked everytime. After using it an practice I thought I had the hang of it. Then I used it in a game. Maybe once I get used to Madden again (played ESPN last year) I'll try it again, but right now it aggrivates me.
